There is no doubt who is the rookie of the year. This is Derrick Rose's team, and they will go as far as he will lead them. Good shooting. Brad Miller and John Salmons know how to play basketball. Neither one of them force shots or take bad shots. Salmons is efficient and never looks out of control. The Bulls are on a roll, look for them to catch LA off guard and blow them out.

I really liked the way Salmons got to the rim tonight, didn't force anything at all really.

First half was terrible with all the turnovers. I'll take the ugly win though.

Hey Carl, tell Westbrook 2nd place is OK. I guess you guys got a taste of how Thabo was getting abused at Bulls practices, and had a hard time getting into the games. Will you take Deng off of our hands?

... I'm a Bulls fan transplanted to OK. So yes I would love to have Deng here.

This is a good team. Don't need much to contend against anyone.

How about some background on Salmons? Miller is an old favorite; been a producer for a long time. But, who is Salmons? If he continues to play as he has for the Bulls, we may well have found a second all-star.

One more top-quality player and we might contend for the title.

Bloomie, they may not blow them out but they could win Saturday. Lakers don't really have anything to play for. As of now, they are only 3 games out of the #6 spot and 5 games out of the #5 spot. If they can get on a roll as you say and get to #5 or #6, who knows how far they can go in the playoffs.

Bulls took out the trash tonight...hopefully they can continue the win streak against LA. Charlotte is going to be the team mainly competing for the 8th seed (or higher) with the Bulls and they have a very favorable schedule the rest of the way as well. Every game is going to be critical from here on out.

i'm upgrading my prediction from 2 months ago, that the Bulls will catch the Pistons and go around 41-41. finish in the 7-hole and face the Celtics in the 1st round. and i like the Bulls chances of advancing to the 2nd round, barring any unforseen injuries.

Now that the Bulls are within 5 of .500, it's time to lose 2 or 3 in a row.

They may make the playoffs; if they do, they will get steamrolled in the first round; they will not have a lottery draft pick; they will be nothing more than mediocre - at best - next year.

Sounds like a typical Cubs fan. Embrace positivity, the team is on a roll. Its okay to be optimistic.

If they get the lottery pick, who is coming out this year that's a difference maker? Thabeet? Have you seen him play? There isn't a Jordan, Ewing, Bird, or even a Rose that's coming out this year. Maybe that kid from Chicago Cherron but he won't be a difference maker in the NBA in his first year - plus the Bulls don't need anymore guards. They have 2 first round picks. They don't need to win the lottery to have a good draft.

And who in the East is going to "steamroll" them? Old, creaky Boston? A Ben Wallace Cleveland? Or single-threat Orlando? They may not get out of the first round if they play those three but they won't be steamrolled. Especially at home.

Having watched the Lakers play their last few games; they have it stuck on automatic. They are showing up to games, running their triangle sets, and Phil Jackson is managing the starters' minutes. I think the Bulls and LA will be at 2 different levels of focus on Saturday. The Bulls need every game and LA is basically playing out the rest of the regular season and trying to remain healthy. That is my reasoning for picking a Bulls blowout victory on Saturday.

Good game by Rose, when he picks his spots to score he can be even better. I would like his assits to go up a bit. Rose did his thing, he didn't want to lose the game, so when guys started missing shots he just took over.

One thing I would like to see more is Salmons & Gordon playing off eachother a little bit more. They have to realize, both of them can score. When there out there on the floor together & one guy gets it going, you can't forget about your other scorer. Especailly when Salmons drives atleast 3 guys were trying to stop him leaving 2 Bulls open.

What's up with the NBA now, the Bulls get no respect at all, these guys were getting hammered and no call was made. Salmons had a few of them. Even towards the end Gordon was hacked & no call was made, that's where the Thunder came back with a min left.

Good game though, I thought Gordon's hustle in the 2nd quarter was huge for us, bc it started to look ugly & Rose took over the second half, we have a very dangerous backcourt.

I think Westbrook has the Tyrus Thomas Syndrome !

Maybe the Thunder will be willing to trade Thabo for Deng.

I think we should give Vinny some credit now, yes I know he blew about 5 or 8 games this year for us, but if we can live with the players mistakes then we can do the same for Vinny. He has the guys playing well with confidence and urgency. They are even playing better team defense. I like his rotation now & he is leaving the smart [players on the floor down the stretch. The only thing I don't like is him taking out Noah down the stretch, bc when Miller is out there without Noah or Tyrus we don't get a lot of rebounds, Miller wil grab offensive rebounds but when we were getting stops & could get those rebounds the stops mean nothing. Now a playoff team would have made us pay with second chance shots.

Keep it simple & funky Vinny !

Go Bulls

Automatic ? did you see how they struggled with the Sixers. Besides Kobe & Gasol the rest are decent role players. The Bulls just have to play hard, aggressive & team defense & they will be alright

The NBA officiating has gotten progressively worse throughout the years. In David Stern's attempt to globalize the game, he wants to stress offense and scoring. The way that games are called it is just about impossible to guard someone one on one. The teams with the team defense philosophy are your top teams in the league. Calls benefit the home team; therefore it becomes difficult to win on the road. Salmons was fouled repeatedly on drives to the basket, that would have been called at the United Center. That is why, if we get the defensive mind set the Bulls could be a very good team. The Bulls can score, but can't defend.

Exactly my point Lamar, the Lakers were cruising up 73 - 62 going into the 4th qtr. Kobe was not playing well and was getting extended rest. And even with that being said it took a last second shot to beat them. Besides, Phil Jackson never shows his playoff schemes during the regular season. That is why the Bulls will blow the Lakers out on Saturday!
