A 42 pt 4th quarter, and it is meaningless because the Bulls can't stop anyone. How many times did the Raptors send Marion into the past against DRose; where is the adjustment? If Salmons was hurt; go defense / offense, and bring in length like Tim Thomas to negate posting Rose. The Raptors are talented, so are the Pacers. The key to winning in the NBA is defense. Unless the Bulls develop a sound team defensive philosophy, they will always being fighting for the 8th playoff spot.

There is plenty of blame to go around for this game; one play did not lose this game. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I believe this kid is having one of the all time rookie seasons. D Rose is only going to get better. He blew a layup and turned the ball over when he over-penetrated. Those are signs of inexperience. Who on this team do you want to have the ball in those situations, that won't piss down their leg? With a rookie you have to take the spectacular with the bad. Be patient this kid will win more games for the Bulls on his way to stardom.

The Bulls don't have to get rid of him; just don't over pay for a reserve player. I think Ben has himself in a fantasy league.

You're right, Bloomie.
Defense is key.
Which is why they're going to regret losing Thabo down the road.

I'd gladly take Gordon back, but only if he plays about 65% of the time he is now and certainly off the bench.
He won't agree to that.

You are absolutely right here. They are not going anywhere with that horrible defense. If Toronto can put up 136 on the Bulls, what will the Cavs or Celtics do? Rhetorical question.

What was VDN doing with Hinrich, Rose, Gordon at the end of the game? They were getting posted up on every possession. And, why didn't they do a better job of fighting the screens? Instead, they just immediately switched, which gave Toronto the easy mismatch.

I am also sick of seeing TT taking those 20 ft jumpers, especially in OT. That is about 15 ft outside of his range.

Ben has had 4 years to learn how to be a pro, team player, and defensive stopper. He has failed at all three. How can we continue to leave him in when he is so selfish, especially 40 plus minutes. We have won a ton of tough games with him playing 25-30. Pax, are you listening?

Its more than Thabo, Nada, the pick and roll has been killing the Bulls the entire year. The Raptors ran the pick and roll close to 75% of the time and it was effective throughout the game. Most teams run the high pick and roll, and the good teams either trap the ball handler or the help side man jams the screener as the other defender fights through the pick.

Gordon is playing his final games as a Bull.
He's had his great moments.
It's just a shame he's over-valued himself.
He'll see this summer there isn't a whole lot of interest in him.
And then there's the economy factor.

Gordon was playing 40 plus minutes because the Coach wanted him to. Do you think the player decides how much time he plays?
Gordon's man, Parker scored 7 points, so, Gordon outscored him by hmmm 30...that not good enough for you DEANO???
The daily criticizing of Gordon has to be " he's selfish" cause he scored so many points and had NO Turnovers.
6 more games and Gordon is thankfully an X BULL

Defense is all about a player's mindset and toughness. I am watching Chris Paul control the entire game as one of the smallest players on the court. He has knocked Tony Parker to the ground three seperate times as Parker is driving to the basket. No one on the Bulls wants to do the dirty work that wins games. I can't remember the last time this team took a charge or hard foul to stop a basket. The goal isn't to hurt someone, but the idea is to stop the other team from scoring easy baskets.

It seems that to VDN defense is a bad word. The Bulls cannot be a real contender this way. Most of the pieces are there but the coach needs to improve or leave..

Ben Gordon is not responsible for today's loss; this was a team defeat. Having said that, he has not played team basketball the entire year. It has been all about the contract and his stats. How can you explain the "one man" fast break, and his reluctance to pass to the open man?

The Bulls were specifically trying to change their team philosophy. They were purposely going after offensive minded coaches. The result would be the same with D'Antoni. They will never win in the playoffs without playing defense.
