What I find interesting is we will be using Hinrich and Tyrus along with Salmons to try and stop Pierce and Allen. I have been saying since we drafted Rose, we will need to do this(subbing Salmons for Deng). Sorry Ben, but you have had 5 years to tighten up your defense and take better shots. This is why Ben is gone.

Ya see, defense is their key to winning this series, they had problems wit playing defense all season long, thats why they kept losing games

The Bulls should be able to win at least one or two home games. If the couple of days rest helps Salmons get closer to normal, then they will definitely win a couple of games. Having Garnett out is no small thing for the Celtics. And we can always hope for a miracle with the Bulls squeaking by in 7 games. At least it's fun to hope!

This 1st game is the key. Bulls got come out tough and ready to play from the start. The 1st quarter will be a good indication of how the series will be. A win is ideal, but there will be no excuses for poor effort tomorrow.

Lets go Bulls...we know you can do it! The whole city is behind you.

If Garnett is REALLY out for the series I believe this is anybody's series, particularly if they can shock the celts and catch them by surprise in the first game.

Of course, if the Celts bus breaks down and they have to forfeit a game, or the Celts entire team is suddenly hit with a vicious flu bug, and BG gets defensive player of the series, the Bulls will win also.

But seriously, IF Garnett is out for the series, AND the bulls can steal game one, it is on to the 2nd round. where is stephen? I need to place another bet.

I don't like the Bulls chances at all against the Celtics, K.G. or no K.G. Boston has such a strong defensive unit and half court skills, that the Bulls have not played well at all, against those type teams. The Orlando matchup would have been so much better for the Bulls. I actually could have seen a possible upset had the Bulls got the Magic instead of the Celtics.

However, we saw the makeup of the Bulls against the Raptors the last game of the regular season. That game still eats at my crawl. To allow a team playing for absolutely nothing to come into their house and beat them down, when so much was on the line for the Bulls tells me all i need to know. The Bulls are a team that must play at 100% mentally and physically, and if they don't, there's not a team in the league that can't beat the Bulls.

That said, i think the Bulls go out in 4 straight. It's just a really bad matchup and with the first two games in Boston, the Bulls will be in a 0-2 hole before they even get a chance. The sad thing is, i truly believe had the Bulls got Orlando instead, that series would have gone 7 games with a winner take all in game 7.

Unfortunately, the Bulls forgot that game 82 is just as valuable as all the other games, and when the Bulls bow out meekly to the Celts, just remember the real culprit was the Bulls either felt the Cavs would do their work for them by beating the 76's in their game 82, or else the Bulls figured Toronto wouldn't jeapordize a draft spot and would come out going through the motions. We saw which team went through the motions, and their reward is the Boston Celtics.

Naltz is right-the first quarter of the first game will reveal the outcome of the series. Both teams will reveal their strategy. Celts will sweep, or win in 5. Pierce is not going down in the 1st round; although the PG matchup will be fun to watch.

The Bulls will definitely need to play almost a perfect series to beat them. That means no more 20+ turnover games, or allowing the Celtics to shoot 55%, and maybe grabbing a few rebounds.

Even without KG, the Celtics probably still win in 5. What did you have in mind this time?

First Quarter determining the outcome? The Celtics are just a better team. Even if the Bulls jump out to a 30 point first quarter lead in game 1, the Celtics are still winning the series.

After 1 quarter its 28-28. What does that mean for the outcome of the series?
