Don't go turning any doorknobs in the next 48 hours, D Rose...although I'm not so sure we want that 7th playoff spot.

7th spot with match up with Celts is preferable over match up with the Cavs. Celts are showing their age and will not repeat this year. Bulls might as well be the team that puts them watching from the comfort of their own living room.

Rose can probably use the time off. Pretty solid season so far and when he looks back at eeason he will be able to adjust more to the Pro Game Next Year.
Still not a go to guy in the end of games and doesn't see whole court on a lot of plays. Will be better on Defense after he gets in the weight room.
Overall I give him a B+ for Rookie Season.

I think tonight's win showed that Rose isn't all that important to the team right now.

I've only read the comments for a few Bulls related stories over the past couple of weeks, but I am noticing a trend.

Is it true that Nada Surf knows far less about the Bulls than he (she?... sorry, don't know, don't want to offend) assumes, and comes across as quite the loser because he so vehemently defends a shaky viewpoint supported by little logic?

Am I up to speed now?

what about a German night? Sloan, Boehrwinkle, Erwin "Wolfgang" Mueller, Paxson, Steve Kerr, Nocioni, etc. plus Chicago having more people with German ancestry this side of Berlin, come on. they still sell beer at the UC, dont they? or is it all a wine and quiche crowd these days?

I think Rose has great potential but I agree with Nada on this one. The Bulls did play much better as a team because Hinrich is a much better point guard than Rose at this time.
I think if Kirk had been healthy at the beginning of the season and Deng had been playing well Rose could have brought along slower which would have been to his benefit. Whether a player is rookie of the year or not really doesn't mean squat.

Kudo's to Hinrich for leading our team past the Pistons. Hinrich showed why he should be starting and Rose coming of the bench being a rookie.I would not give the ball to Rose in crunch time, he tries to do too much which results in a turnover. He will be a "Star" next year under better mentoring and coaching which is not what VDN is all about. 7th seed would be OK if we can get it, the Celts are old and tired and they do not seem to have the energy and are running on empty. John Salmon and Miller are great additions to the team. GO BULLS!!!!

Hinrich is not better than Rose, and they're certainly not better without him. I mean, seriously? We beat a weak Pistons team without three former all-stars. Anybody else notice the 7 big bench points from Miller? Kirk needs to come off the bench, and we need Tim Thomas healthy to finish with some strength, regardless of the playoff spot.
P.S. I'm going tomorrow night and Rose better f-in be playing.
P.P.S. I like to Polish fans/jersey idea.

Charliesdad, I did not mean Hinrich was better than Rose, not at all. I meant in his rookie year he should be coming of the bench and observe plays and by next year he will show why he was the #1 pick. We are not going to compare a veteran and a rookie, this is unfair. Hope I have cleared my point.BTW VDN should hopefully be out of our system next year so that we could get a coach (Doug/Avery) who could be a big plus for Rose's blossoming into a real all star.

I have an idea for the Oct. 6 exhibition game in London. Just send Deng and leave the Bulls at home. Seriously though, i don't think Deng is a big enough name to be focusing on playing games in their adopted country for. Apparently Deng has developed a rep for being some sort of goodwill ambassador, which unfortunately for all Bulls fans, helped persuade Reinsdorf to agree to overpay the guy.

What really makes the Deng signing such a significant issue has been the fact that Deng was greedy to the point that he wouldn't agree to a very fair offer. Had he done so, i don't think fans would be feeling near the angst that they do towards him now, even with all the injuries. I think it's also angered fans that Reinsdorf caved in on the Deng negotiations, especially after his play had actually declined from when the original offer was made. I think it's even angered fans further because they know that the player the Bulls chose to pay over the guy who they chose not to pay (Ben Gordon), has now probably cost the chance of resigning, even though Gordon has far out performed Deng.

Needless to say, Deng for any number of reasons has become a persona non grata to Bulls fans, and seeing the team go out of their way to pacify his wants, doesn't go over that well these days.

Rod, I could not have said this better than you. You are right on. Gordon has to be signed (take note Paxson-Reinsdorf)I wish we could trade Deng but I am sure there will be no takers. He is not a good fit for our Bulls. Having said that, Paxson and VDN must go, neither of them have a clue to what's going on. Reinsdorf and Paxson are just looking for sell outs at the UC and they are being rewarded. Paxson and VDN must go.

Hey did anyone hear Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith slam the Bulls last night during the half time? The only comment I have for both of them is they are both losers. Show me a ring fella's. Barkley is fat and ugly and a drunk who was behind bars recently and Smith sucks up to him. They both contend that the Bulls suck! This coming from two confirmed idiots who profess to know the game. TNT stop broadcasting Bulls games and stop those two idiots from whining like two beat-up old slobs. We are Bulls fan's and will be through thick and thin. Please get those two drinking jerks of the air. Barkley go back to jail, hope it happens soon and this time for a real long period.
