Kirk is better than all of them with the possible exception of Josh Howard. But he was drafted at the end of the first round so he wasn't even a realistic option during the time of the draft. If Kirk is so bad how come the bulls struggled so badly when he was injured and the Great Ben Gordon was attempting to lead the bulls???
They sucked when Kirk came back they played much better. Kinda throws a wrench into your whole idea of Kirk is the problem with the bulls doesn't it!
You must be talking about Star Trek, because the one on the Bulls is stealing money and the reason we don't have Gordon! And for those of you who don't know yet...THATS A BAD THING.

I have a hunch as 2 why Rex Hinrich is loved so much in Chicago.
Because he looks like the GM, who is a local hero. And everyone of those jokers think they are John Paxson receiving a pass from Horace Grant. I ain't mad at them. Pax drained it and Johnny Kerr almost lost his voice!! Glory days!!!

Ehh, why the heck not? Admittedly, I like Kirk coming off the bench, but his contract is a monster, and I think he'll have a better time of it in Portland. And as much as I want to believe in the Tyrus dream, it's hard for me to shake the notion that he'll never quite "get it". But man alive, he seems to to something amazing at least once a game. As for Boozer, when he's healthy, he's one of the most effective post scorers in the NBA - something the Bulls have been looking for... well, since forever. This does seem like a potential win for all teams involved, but it could backfire for all the clubs, too. I suppose that's the mark of a fair trade. Even if Boozer doesn't quite pan out for the Bulls, we're shedding Kirk's contract and will have more financial flexibility moving forward. However, the Bulls have to pick up another guard (Anthony Parker?), as I wouldn't be stoked about Pargo being the third guard in a 3-guard rotation. Bottom Line: The trade would make the team instantly better and not be a long-term financial burden. I give it a tentative thumbs up.
Good post.

Maybe. I sure hope so. They NEED that kid to produce to go anywhere I think.
Bulls are not going anywhere until they SPEND some real money. And they dont have to because the United Center keeps selling out. Now the Whitesox could use those sellouts, because they would be able to afford some free agents. But the Bulls - do just enough to maintain those sellouts.

How many games will he be able to play? How man y games last year was he at full strength? I dont know the answer, but it was much less than 84.

Not surprisingly, the Bulls are starting to balk because they are concerned with all of a sudden being thin at guard and are trying to get the Blazers to throw in Bayless. That's why I thought they signed Jannero - to help shore up their guards. PULL THE TRIGGER GAR/PAX!!!!
Is having Hinrich at 9 mil as your BACKUP PG more important than getting Boozer and the flexibility of his one year contract?
Boozer certainly would look good on the offense, when he is able to play. That would be less every year. Who can guess how many games next year.

Finally disagree. Thomas's number almost doubled about Skiles left. And I waited to see what he would do in Milwaukee. I predicted exactly what happened. Did they quit on him too??? When two different teams quit on you.....ITS YOU.
Thomas has improved every year has a pro. He was very young. Reminds me a lot of Scottie. Took him a while to learn also. But he blossomed playing with great talent...hmmmmmmm?
Why do you say the Bucks quit on Skiles? They were neck and neck with the Bulls (until the trade)despite having injuries to three of their top 6 and no Micheal Redd for the second half of the season? Thomas was given more minutes under VDN but while his numbers were better (more a sign of minutes than improved play imo) he didn't demonstrate any growth last season. He made the same bonehead mistakes in April that he made in November. Thomas and Darius Miles will have the same type of careers. As long as Tyrus can out jump people, the mental aspect of his game will remain stagnant. Scottie's basketball IQ was among the highest of anybody to ever play the game, Thomas could never reach 25% of that plateau.

Because this is his free agent year, he like other players in this situation will magically stay injury free and have a great season. This would be a great time to bring him on board.

The answer is that they're white and Mgray doesn't like white people.
