Hoping and wishing that the Bulls are smart enough to trade the circle dribbling clock eating Hinrich who can't beat anyone off the dribble.

Check the stats Klank Hinrich's numbers shrunk as soon as he was grossly over paid by the dunce Paxson.

Do you realy think that another team is dumb enough to take Hinrich the rich bench warmer?????????

This is a great move for all teams considered. Portland needs a point guard, and the GM has always fancied Hinrich. Utah wants to dump Boozer to sign Milsap (sp?). The Bulls get the inside scorer that they've been looking for. Even if they don't end up signing Boozer once his contract is up next year, with Hinrich gone, they have tons of cap space for DWade (lets bring our guy home, an all star, all chicago back court... talk about bringing the pride back to the UC).

I like Kirk, and this will give him an opportunity to start, which he deserves. Ty lets hope learns to become a great player under a great coach, people forget that he's a 22 year old kid with tremendous up side, we'll hear his name again if he is dealt to Utah.

Do it Gar, this is a great way to make your mark as the new GM.

Are the Bulls trying to get rid of every guard on their team from last year? Carlos Boozer?!? Great! Another over paid, over hyped prima donna from Duke. I have a feeling that he would spend more of his time in Chicago driving through the fast food drive thru lane then the free throw lane.

The only reason to do this trade is to get the Bulls WAY under the cap for 2010. If that is the goal, go for it, but don't expect to resign Boozer unless you waste a huge chunk of that cap space on him. I'd rather see the Bulls keep the current foster for this year and try to land Bosh via trade at the dealine or as a free agent next summer.
Also, if we're just looking to dump salary, I would prefer to see Deng go than Hinrich.

Come on guy, the old Hinrich may have deserved to start someplace, but thenew one does not drive or feed the post. He is not as good as Pargo, and Pargo never started anyplace.

As for KC saying that Pargo can take over at SG, he could not mean that. The guy is a midget by Scottie's definition.. Gerald Green, Mo Ager and Chris Douglas Roberts can play SG. They would come cheap, now that we dumped Sefolosha, Brown and JR Smith. My guess is that in his stocking feet Pargo is 5'11". Maybe KC knows something that we dont know.

Is Bartelstein a hypnotist? Did he hypnotize KC as well as Bulls mgt.

Pargo here for one year. Hinrich and Thomas for Boozer for one year. Milller and Tim Thomas for one year. Dang will go next. What is to be left of the Paxson years? Anyone for putting his banner in the rafters next to Krause?

Remember Hamilton and Carter were available for expiring contracts and not much more.

I cannot believe the absolute lunacy of these commentators. Other than the guy who correctly observes that if they give up Hinrich, their guard corps is down to about zero. Let me join the lunacy: Please, Gar, bring back Larry Hughes, and get rid of Deng before you unload Hinrich/Thomas. Let some other franchise waste their money on that soft,oft-injured alibi-Ike.

fools.. if we got boozer and signed him to an extension we'd still have 20-25 mil to work with next year pending the salary cap. dont you see we'd be getting hinrich's and thomas' contract for a one year rental. how does this move not make sense? he's a double double and our guard play will not be that devastated because now we dont have to depend on them taking ridiculous shots to make up for the lack of a post player.

ho-hum on Pargo...Bulls don't have money to pay anyone according to Jerry while the good teams are adding players like Rasheed Wallace in Boston, Artest in Los Angeles, Richard Jefferson in San Antonio. Next thing you know Bulls will want to bring back Ben Wallace. After all, they brought back Linton Johnson, Brad Miller, and noe Jannero Pargo. Maybe Pippen can still play for the "Bring'em back Bulls".

Don't understand trading two good, young players for a one good player who's been around a few years. Makes about as much sense as wanting to trade half the team for Kobe.

Mike T got it right. Make the trade, let Boozer go via free agency next summer, and use the money to snatch up D Wade. It's that simple.

Broought back Tim Thomas, too. That was genius. How about Khyrapa? He never was given a chance, but paid millions.

If the Bulls were to acquire Carlos Boozer from Utah, why not try and acquire Allen Iverson from free agency. It may seem ridiculous at first but the Bulls are desperately seeking to fill Ben Gordon's scoring and A.I can help solidify the backcourt. Try and offer A.I a 1 year contract and see how the whole thing plays out. It's already been surfaced all over the Internet that the Bulls have very little interests in re-signing Tyrus Thomas so capitalize on his trade value.

Bulls starting five 09-10 season:
pg: Derrek Rose
sg: Allen Iverson
sf: Luol Deng
pf: Carlos Boozer
C: Johkim Noah

* Salmons, Miller, Pargo off the bench
This will allow the Bulls significant cap room next summer by eliminating Hinrich's contract.

You get Boozer then you get another injury-plagued player. Bulls seem to enjoy getting those. There's Jerome James and Tim Thomas every 4th game and of course our most highly paid Luol Deng. Boozer is a talented yet brittle ballplayer who doesn't deserve his $12 mil. salary as it is. No, to this trade.
Also, the Bulls aren't getting another guard back. Let's run Derrick Rose into the ground.

Pull the trigger on this one Gar! I'm sick of waiting for big men to develop. First it was Chandler-Curry, then it was Thomas-Noah, now it's Johnson-Gibson...will it never stop??? Bring in a veteran big who can dominate the post. I believe that TT will in a few years become a GREAT player, but we can't wait forever. And Hinrich is clearly past his prime; a great bench guard but nothing more.

Yes it would leave the backcourt decimated to give up Hiney, but just pick up some scrubs to fill it for the year, and next year we'll try cash in on the big FA market. It's extremely obvious the Bulls have no intentions of winning THIS year, so let's go all out, cash in the chips on this year, get the young guys (Rose-Johnson-Gibson-Noah) lots of playing time, and go for the gold next year.

Go Bulls!

There is 100% chance of whiffing today... Paxson will do what Paxson does best get involved in a big name deal only to let it fall apart in an ugly way.
