Wow, For the Magic to win a 1st round playoff is about as unlikely as seeing geese fly north in the winter.

I'd like to see Hedo play a point forward in thise series and use Evans at the 2, rashard at the 3, Dwight and either Gortat/Foyle trying to play some d.

Hedo would be able to cause match up problems. Jameer would be a good bench player against their 2nd unit. If detroit starts exploiting Jameer its over.

Bring it on!!

The whole team need to play like "men possessed" every game. If they all play as hard as Dwight did in the first round we can win this series.

Nothing I'd rather see than a sweep of the Pistons!!!

A little late in the season to change lineups. However, I think that might be a good lineup for short periods of time. Go Magic!

Yea against Toronto? Even the Sixers could be the Raptors but Orlando is a different team this year.

Folks everyone needs to calm down here. Detroit will win this series yet again. They will win it in 5 or 6 games.

They will win the first 2 in Detroit, then split the next 2 in Orlando, and wrap it up in 5 back in Detroit. Or, they will split 2 games in Detroit, split the next 2 in Orlando, and then win the last 2 to win it in 6 games.

They will frustrate Howard which will have a trickle down effect to the rest of the Magic team. The Magic will average about 90-94 points in this series. Also Howard will not record any 20-20's in this series.

Wallace and Hamilton will dominate this series. Billups and Prince will have their moments.

But it is the Pistons bench that will really put this series to bed folks. What will the Magic do when Dwight has to sit early in the second period ?

Simply put Detroit knows how to get it done. The Magic are still a year or two away from being able to compete with these guys in a playoff series.

Watch for turnovers, missed free throws (mostly DH), and second chance points to be problems for the Magic in this series.

No matter how you spell it folks, it will be another year of getting beat down by the Magic's Daddy....Detroit.

I am glad we are playing the pistons instead of the 76er's. I think the team would play as hard against them. Now we are playing the big bad Pistons and they will mentally be excited and up to the challenge, knowing they have to play hard to win. I agree with V.O.R and would like to see Hedu play a little point guard/forward to create some miss matches. I am not real worried with this series. I think the Magic are up to it! Magic in 6!!!

well, here's the matchup most of us are waiting for. we will be able to see where we stand against the better teams. i really want the Magic to win, but something tells me Detroit will give us a good series and will be the one to advance to the ECF.

even if we are the underdogs in this series, I hope we battle it out like Philly / Atlanta in their respective round 1 series with determination and focus. come to think of it; the 7th and 8th seeds of the supposedly LEAST conference gave an even better fight against the 1st and 2nd seeds than the so-called "MIGHTY" WEST where the 7th and 8th seeds finished more than 50 wins and got beat badly by the 1st and 2nd seeds.

Anyone see D. Wade on the TNT pregame last night? He said that the Pistons had to finish off Philly because they "had Boston and Cleveland ahead of them."

First, it is Boston OR Cleveland, and they have to beat us four games first. Despite Jim's predictable "we're-going-to-lose " patter, this isn't last year's Magic. Jim also thought that we couldn't handle Bosh.

You'd think Wade, loser of nine straight games to the Magic would, at the least, remember that we exist.

Just more bulletin board fodder, friends; no respect.

Let's steal game one from the overconfident Pistons, defend our court for two games, and see what happens. I predict Magic in 6, but I wouldn't be shocked if we take it in five. These Pistons are overdue for another fall.

GO MAGIC!!!

Never under estimate your opponnet...I disagree with Jim..I think DH will do everything in his power to fustrate the Pistons in the first game and throw their plan out the window. The series will hinge on the first game and who comes out of the gate the fastest. The confidence of our young magic team is high and they are in better physical condition...run the crap out of pistons and never look back.

There are not enough Dunkadelic-Highlight reel jams for Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic to win a a playoff series vs. the Pistons.

I'm just going to post the same comments I made on the other 2 articles.

BIG IF....if Detroit plays the Magic like the last 2 games with the 6'ers... Magic are history.

BIG IF....if the Magic can play great defense, hit 3's and at least come close to containing Billups & Hamilton...they could sweep.

Most likely as all the experts say...
Detroit in 7.

Magic's roster next season:

Gone...

Foyle
Augustine
Garrity
Bogans (maybe)
Cook (maybe)
Arroyo (if better offer)
Evans (if better offer)
REDICK (Trade-YAYYYYY)
__________

Stay...

Howard
Lewis
Turk
Nelson
Battie
Dooling

Lots of room to improve.
