Where those Jameer lovers now? Where you at? Jameer, under the right circumstances is a good point ... those circumstances are coming off the bench and playing an elites teams bench.

3rd qtr the Pistons go on a 17-4 run .. Jameer goes out Magic go on a 9-1 run ... Jameer comes back in and the game blows open.

Why for the life of me, Hedo does not run the point forward and you go big against this team .. having Gortat/Foyle, Howard, Rashard, Evans and Hedo is beyond me. And dont give me, "you cant make changes this late" ... the change is made to make them change.

We wont shoot 3's because these guys arent the Raptors ... they play at a slow methodical pace because they can control and abuse the Guard play. If you go big you force them to change.

Unless the Magic face this ... this is our ceiling for the next 5 years if you seriously are going to rely on Jameer to run the point. 2nd round .. ECF MAX! Thats it.

Lets see if teh Magic have the balls to change it up a little cause this Jameer crap aint gonna work!

AND PLEASE DONT ANYONE SAY THIS is just the 1st game ...
duh what

Let me start out by saying that I am a HUGE Magic fan. However, I am totally fed up with their performance in the 2nd half tonight. How old is Theo Ratliff? 39-40? How can Dwight Howard let him get the best of him on the boards. Dwight is a great player, with a great future, but, he gave up tonight. If the calls don't go his way, or some body gets a little too rough, he backs down. The magic should have knocked the Pistons to the floor a few times. That will make them think about camping out under the boards. Quit jawing with the Piston thugs, and JUST PLAY BASKETBALL.

When I saw Dick Bavetta's (who is 90 years old) crew officiating this game, I knew the Magic were in for a long night. The officials were very pro-Pistons all night, they were pushing and hacking our players all night which was not called of course but if our players barely brushed up against any of the Pistons, the refs eagerly blew those whistles.

The Magic can't let players like that fat chunky bastard Maxiel dominate the paint or Theo Ratliff, who is pushing 50 years of age block shots and score around the rim. Hedo needs to step up..what happened to the 3 point shooting? Better win game 2

Nobody said this was going to be an easy series. The Magic are a young team with hardly any playoff experience. We are going to have games like this...especially against Detroit. I guarantee that if Detroit ended up playing Atlanta, then the Hawks wouldn't be playing a game seven. They are tough to beat in the playoffs when they are on their game.

Jameer Nelson and Evans combine to make one of the worst 5 backcourts in the NBA. If you do not agree, please provide 4 or 5 worse ones. Even bad teams have 1 good guard. Evans and Nelson are not terrible, but they are at best contributing 6th men on most NBA teams.

Our frontcourt is amazing, but we get owned on guardplay over and over in big games. Nelson and "Mo-gans" better get a lot better in 2 days or this is gonna get ugly.

Orlando is going to clearly be outmatched this series. If Dwight Howard continutes to have problems with his hand it could be a deciding factor in the series. I think that this is going to be a repeat of last year with a 4-0 sweep. Not to take anything away from the magic but they just cant match up with Detroit Pistons. The Pistons bench dominated in game 1. This just isnt the Magic's year. The Magic are a good team but, they are to young and inexpierienced. The Magic have a lot of good young players and a great coach. I look forward to watching them contend for the eastern confrence title in the next few years. Sorry not this year Magic... Tonight SVG demonstrated what a bad couch is. He did nothing to stop the momentum of the Pistons and left that the score became opened. He stayed with the same players for a long time. He had to make changes as soon as the game went opening. Nelson was fatal tonight (-24 of effectiveness, 3-8 and only 4 assists, poor defense) and he was left long time in the court. Lewis with that stupid technical fault. Dooling 1-5. Reddick demostrated that he is not still prepared for playoff. Turkuglu was the only player that did his job. (I think he is the real MVP of Orlando because he is constant in his play, good shots, many assists and even some rebounds). SVG continued in his decision of not bring Carlos Arroyo though I believe he won't make worse than Nelson and than Reddick. The game was very disorganized. Arroyo has the ability to organize games, so maybe he would be an option when the game turns as tonight's . The bench play except Foyle and Arroyo. And only Gortat played acceptable.

I called this loss folks. Turnovers, missed free throws, inability to make 3's against this team, and most importantly, Dwight Howard being completely contained.

Like I said folks Howard will not have any 20-20's this series, and the Magic will get nowhere near 100 points in any of the games.

Detroit just has our number still. They are the Magic's Daddy's. Clearly the Magic have a long way to go to match up with these guys. They need a bigger point guard as well as another power forward.

Detroit just played with Philadelphia in that first round. Playtime is over now. And so is this series...in 5 games.

Even the mild mannered Lewis let these guys get under his skin tonight and got hit with a technical foul. They are also allowing themselves to be swept into this trash talking thug like bs.

Either way they are going to lose. But dont go down to their level. Just ignore the idiots and let it go in one ear and out the other.

Folks btw, a simple "Jim you were right" will do just fine thank you. Like I said..it will be Detroit winning the first 2 in Detroit rather easy. Then the Magic probably win game 3 in Orlando. Then Detroit will close it out by winning game 4 in Orlando and game 5 back in Detroit.(This is what I though before Howard got hurt). If it is somewhat serious then this could be a sweep. But right now I only see them winning 1 game at the most.

It was a great season for the Magic. They have a lot to look forward too. But they still have a long way to go to matchup with Detroit.

They need to make some changes over the summer and bring in a bigger point guard and a power forward to begin with.

Funny how people disappear suddenly when they realize I called this win..and this series. They apparently are afraid to face the truth..and my "I told you so's".

Myself, when I make bad predictions, etc I atleast come back in here and admit that I was wrong and have a good attitude about it.

Oh well. No big deal. IF IF IF IF the Magic were to somehow get lucky and win game 2 I am sure they will all be back here tomorrow talking trash..lol.

I was mad about the game, but you know what it's only one game. Look at Atlanta, they got blown out twice by Celtics and we all said they were done. Well they might beat the Celtics in the biggest surprise ever.

If Dwight's hand is good, he will come back hard next game. The Magic always play really good after getting trounced on, so I can see the Magic getting their act together and winning game 2.
