We needed this win big time. Let's get the Jazz at home on Friday and start to get this team back on track.

Nice game by Keith Bogans with a double double. Keyon played well tonight as well!

It would be easy to say the Rockets played poorly tonight, but the Magic defense was a little better. Give the Magic some credit for winning on the road, again.

TMac hurt again. That guy is fragile. He's looked pretty bad tonight.

GO MAGIC!

Stud of the game (besides Dwight, who always is): Dooling. "Joe Energy". Good game! Go Magic!

Yea - the Rocket's shooting was poor but the Magic played harder defense and we URGENTLY need to step this up even more in future games.- once again fragile T-Mac goes to the locker room early !!

The best career time for McGrady will remain in Orlando...With all those injuries he's not a tough loss for Magic. If Orlando can make a trade in february for a true power forward we'll be in the finals.
Go Magic !

Let's not get too excited about this win. After all there was no T-Mac for the entire second half. And even though he played the first half he was in no shape to be playing. This should have been a romp.
In addition to that the Magic gave up 30 points in the 4th quarter. Thank God the offense bailed them out again.
But at this point any win is a good win with the way they have been playing recently.
Now they need to go home and defend their home court.

Ugly game... but a win is a win, I'll take it however it comes!

I'm not sure if we got it because we played better than Huston, or because we did not played as bad as them!

Sour grapes Jim. You are the one of the most ridiculous commentators I have ever seen. Why don't you become a Heat fan, your comments would fit them and at least you would be accurate. So far your predictions haven fallen flat the very next game. No 7 or 8 game losing streaks as you predicted. 13-4 on the road, that takes a very, very, good team to do that. How many more times are you going to make a fool of yourself?

Sir first of all thank you for your feedback. Now let me explain something to you; The Magic would indeed be in the midst of a very long losing streak had it not been for one subpar half of basketball against the Bobcats, and if Tracy McGrady had been healthy against Houston. In both these games the Magic played poorly but they just happened to get lucky and win.
Until this team shows that they can play some consistent defense they will always be mediocre at best.
I want the team to succeed, but right now I am just not seeing anything on the court that makes me believe they will be anything but average.
The road record is impressive. But it is a bit tainted due to their opposition and their defensive lapses.
Believe me when this team begins to show me something, especially on the defensive side of the ball, I will be the first one to let you know.
Until then I would advise you to keep your expectations low regarding the success of the Orlando Magic.

ANY WIN IS A GOOD WIN,EVEN ONE THAT WAS A BIT UGLY AT TIMES. THEY NEED A BIG TOUGH GUY TO COME OFF THE BENCH! AND PUT SOME MUSCLE ON PEOPLE . THE GUYS THEY HAVE ALL SEEM A BIT SOFT.

Last night was a pretty ugly win, but learning to win ugly is something the Magic has to do, because great teams can still win when they don't play particularly well. It was encouraging for us to win with defense rather than offense, and it seems SVG is making the adjustments he talked of - we are jacking up less threes and looking to use a balanced inside/outside game.

Great game by Bogans, solid performance from Dwight, and nice spark off the bench by Dooling and Evans. Why was Pat Garrity playing? I know Brian Cook has been less than impressive since his arrival from the Lakers, but he is not going to get into any kind of shape or rhythm if he sits, whilst Garrity, who will be gone at the end of the season, gets burn.

Oh, and is it just me or is that picture of Rafer Alston on the Sentinel website hilarious?

This win proves really nothing in my opinion no t-mac so it was an easier game for the magic. The magic did show me though that they are resilent after starting the game bricking every shoot put up the magic finished strong to beat a rockets team without it's go to guy. It's a big win for the magic's confidence because of the four out five game losing slump they were in and hopefully this puts the magic in a postion to go on a roll an win three or four games, but again this win is only good for the magic's confidence it proves nothing to me. The magic haven't beatin a good team in a while, but will have there chance against Boston (who they beat but is rolling right now) and a very good Jazz team. Let's just rember the season isn't 30 games it's 82 so lets hope the magic can keep this up all the way through and not have the same collapse that occured last year. P.S. all I want for Christmas is for Rashard to play better or get traded which ever comes first

I'm tired of seeing the same BS every nigth. The hamster playing = magic behind in the scores, dooling or arroyo playing = Magic near, tied or ahead in the scores, can anybody tell Ron jeremy that.

Dooling should get all the PG minutes

Last night's game -

Nelson on the floor, Magic outscored the Rockets by 4.

Dooling on the floor, Rockets outscored the Magic by 1.

Nelson's not great, he's got a heap of things he needs to improve on, but you see what you want to see, Javi.

Those of you who can attend Friday's game against the Jazz, don't forget to scream the Magic's mantra at the top of your lungs--DEFENSE!
