BRIAN, MY IMPRESSION THAT CA IS THE ONLY TRUE PG OF THE TEAM AT THIS MOMENT AND HE PLAYS A DECENT GAME IN THAT POSITION. KD AND JN ARE MORE OF A SHOOTING GUARD, BUT APPARENTLY YOU PREFER THEM TO CA. PLEASE GIVE ME YOU REASONS TO SEE IF I AM WRONG IN MY ASSESMENT OF THE PG SITUATION.

Jose - You didn't ask my opinion, but in case Brian doesn't respond, here goes. Carlos can be a very effective point guard. It seems that sometimes he gets so caught up in helping his team that he tries to do too much. By that I mean, he shoots first before exhausting pass opportunities. He has tremendous energy and a will to win, both necessary for a successful PG. That being said, both JN and KD have their shortcomings, too. The Magic are most successful when the ball is being passed around the perimeter until someone has an open shot. When a 3 pointer is launched before a pass is made, it usually ends up being a missed shot and a defensive rebound. When both CA and JN are on their game, they form a great PG team. You can tell they both like and respect each other and want the other one to do well out on the floor.

If Detroit had lost 20 of their last 22 gamed they would still beat the Magic! Reason? Detroit is blue collar and Magic are tuxedos. Detroit hustles and beats up on opponents. Magic settle for "safe" three's and avoid contact. When they hit, graet. When they miss it's a sure rebound and fast break for the opponent. Since 35% three point shooting is considered good, you thick headed Magic fans do the math!

Once again the Magic are shooting themselves in the foot for the second half with their free throw shooting.
In the first half Howard hit his free throws, but the second half is showing us the Howard that we have seen too much of.
Lewis and Hedo just don't know how to play defense, Prince had been in a shooting slump until playing against the Magic.

Prince is killing the Magic and there is no defense. Hedo is getting to the free throw line, but as it has been for too many games he is not hitting his shots. The last time I checked Hedo was 4-12 from the floor with 4 turnovers.
