Kobe is without doubt the greatest basketball player of any era. He is the MVP and has been for a long time. He will lead the Lakers to the NBA title and win the MVP of the finals as well. And now that he is getting the all round support from his team mates, he is unstoppable. He is a genius and a magician, so all you Kobe critics, take a break and eat your words. Kobe rules.

Go Kobe, Go Lakers

Pau Gasol has been playing exceptional with the Lakers. Don't forget that the Lakers went about 25-5 with him. While Kobe might be a runner up for MVP, we shall see his performance in the next round...

Don't forget is the 1st round...

I agree w/ Silent. If you you've watched the regular season games closely and even parts of the playoffs, Kobe has his inconsistencies and flaws. I also dont like the fact that he cries alot to the refs on alot of the calls/no calls, EVEN THOUGH the calls are often wrong. I think it makes the refs want to ignore him and keep giving him bad calls. He should just play.

Kobe may have the best individual basketball skills, but he sometimes lacks in defense and team skills. I think he's the most dangerous player when he drives hard to the basket-there's very few who can guard him and he will always either make the basket, get fouled or kick it out to an open man.

Nevertheless, probably have to vote Kobe for MVP this season. He put up some impressive stats and helped lead the Lakes to the best record in the west. Also, he's a vet and has put in his time.

...further I think PHIL should give Cobe Karl a bit more playing time, even his father then will pull for LA.
