Enough with Jordan. He played at a time when the league was pretty weak, with an aging,
sick and injured Bird and Magic.
As I recall the level of play really fell off in the 90s.
Although the Bulls won 72 one year, the 80s Lakers and Celtics would have wiped the floor with the Bulls.
As for retiring number 23 , I guess number 24 is next?
And I don't mean Wille Mays.
Give me Bryant over Jordan any day.
Anyway, Jordan already has a head the size of Chicago and not to change the subject, but this is the guy who wasted draft picks on Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, two of the biggest busts in NBA history?
How can the "most talented ever", the "standard" know so little about talent?

i agree wholeheartedly in reference to jordan, liked him as a collegiate player despised him as a pro.in evaluating talent he's a proven bust,i'm not sure who's the worst he or isiah thomas with the way he loaded the knicks with high priced no talented players.the knicks have been suffering from this for years and continue to do so.one thing they have in common is they are legendary womanizers or harassers.

By what standard is Michael Jordan more worthy to have his number retired league wide then many others. Bill Robinson, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Oscar and others. It seems the main standard has to do with the ESPN, television and pop culture marketing. It would be a mistake. It would devalue the substance of Jackie Robinson's number retirement. League wide number retirement needs to stand for something greater then the greatness of his airness.

Did anyone notice the Nuggets are younger and faster? What will the Lakers do about point guards like Ty Lawson, when the playoffs begin this season? Is anyonne assigned to study Ty Lawson's moves and tendencies, so they can keep up with him?

Derek Fisher cannot keep up with faster guards. I think the Lakers should start Shannon Brown so he can develop and let Fisher come off the bench. Anyone agree?

Kobe is better than MJ? Eh...no...not hardly. Anybody who thinks this is smoking something really good.
