If the sports leagues were run like the BMV, season ticket holders would pay a private company to mail them a "courtesy notice" to renew their season tickets, and you may or may not get that notice since it is a courtesy. If you use the internet or mail to get tickets, expect them to arrive after the game has been played, or you could got the league ATM and find that it is inoperative due to computer glitches.
