Unfortunately, I think Redick's career game was his last one.
If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it, but I don't think so and it makes me nervous thinking we have to rely on him.
Look, despite everyone saying "He just needs more minutes" ... this year he gotten significantly more minutes and played in more games than he ever has and his Player Efficency Rating has gone down.
Numbers don't lie.

You can wish him well, but do you really want an ineffective, mediocre player "taking charge"?
Well Doctor, my prediction came true about Redick having a good game and everyone realizing what he can do, except of course, you.

For some reason, you are still in your hate mode about Redick and that says more about your basketball and people savvy than anything JJ can do the rest of his long career.

amazing after years of doing absolutely nothing to show that he deserved to play in the nba he has one DECENT game in a blowot win and people are falling all over themselves to say he is going to finally turn into a good player. Face facts he had one good game but is still shooting horendously overall and still can' tguard his shadow.

Pretty scary having Redick in the starting line up for the next couple of games at least - I wish him the best, of course, but I am not very optimistic based on past performances.

Let's be honest, you were watching the Celtics/Bulls game weren't you?

Not hating, but numbers don't lie. People who are blind to the facts do.

I'll take Courney Lee over Redick every game!

Well said. It's just amazing the people that will come to the defense of Redick irregardless of the facts. No one did it for Keith Bogans.

I've come to the conclusion, although, not one will admit it - it's racial bias. If this was a slow, black guy who couldn't jump, shoot, or play defense - he'd be fippin burgers at Mickey D's.

They consistently make up imaginary tales of why he did good on the extremely rare occasions he does.

He's had his chance and, unfortunately, not succeeded.

Next.

Where were you when Keith Bogans was being shipped out of town. Wasn't he white or cute enough?

He could be white, black or green with yellow poke a dots, If he plays like he did his last game hitting 5- 3s and playing solid defence I will take him any time.

Your playoffs game are won by role players since most of the stars are double and triple team most of the time

There is so much hate on this forum. Magic are good and will go a long way.

They will be good for a long time also.

I don't think it is racism. People saw what he did at Duke setting the ACC scoring record. The kid can definitely shoot and that is what people hang their hat on with JJ.

I agree, and ONE good game does not a reliable NBA role player make.

People will say that JJ just doesn't shoot that well in the NBA and so far they are right. But JJ is the kind of guy that needs plenty of minutes to get into the flow of the game. Coming of the bench for short spurts is not the way you bring the best out of a shooter.

Unfortunately for JJ his defense makes him a liability just like Pat Garrity use to be.

Hopefully getting the starting assignment will give him the minutes he needs to finally show his worth. I hoped Pietrus would get the minutes but his bone headed play and poor shot selection at times gets him in trouble.

This is JJ's chance to prove himself. I wish him the best!

I think the line "the kid can definitely shoot" should be "the kid could definitely shoot".

He hasn't proven that in the NBA and every other dimension is (sorry) no that good.

This year his games and minutes have gone up significantly ... yet HIS PRODUCTION HAS GONE DOWN!

Next the JJ supporters will be saying he needs to start every game and get at least 46 minutes a game to get into the flow.

Please! Can't anyone be logical and realistic about JJ?

Prove me wrong JJ, YOU HAVE NOT SO FAR THIS YEAR.

Will the Magic run plays for JJ like most teams do for their shooting guards? The answer is no. The Magic don't do "sissy" stuff like set picks. They also don't dive for loose balls, block out or help on defense.
I am just hoping JJ can get out of Orlando.
The franchise is a mess.
reddick has done much of that either n yes i saw the last game. we dont have a danny granger or a Rip the closest we have to that is Lee. Reddick would pprobably start messes like the kings n that wnba team in OKC the blunder i think is their names.

this should be simply need to play 5 mins or 35 mins you can produce much then you arent cut out for the nba and i see jj not really going to far if he can do this you dont need to be given mintues to motivate to get a chance to play should be a motivator if it aint he wont be around much.

I'm just trying to look at it logically and not be biased about it. People felt the same way about Steve Kerr when he was here that they feel about JJ now. So Steve Kerr was traded and went on to win multiple titles with the Bulls and Spurs.

JJ is going to get the opportunity but unfortunately if he misses his first 2 he will probably get the hook.

People said the same thing about Steve Kerry when he was here years back.

I'm not a JJ fan but this kid may find a home and be deadly someday with the right team.
