Well I have watched every game this year and been to some that were not televised. I have been saying O'Brien would get the team better and would get Oneal into this style of play... for a awhile I had myself convinced of that. I have been bothered with all the people on here saying trade JO.
The more I watch the more I am convinced we are a better team without JO.
Murphy stepped in and did a great job and how about Foster with all those rebounds?
With JO the team has no flow and the game is much slower. In the short time he was playing tonight he had 4 turnovers and zero pts.
Larry if you are listening, I am a diehard fan and I love the new style of play so help us out some and trade JO for someone with good ball handling and speed. Its not too late to make the playoffs.

I know, I know...one game isn't enough proof. But this Pacer fan has seen enough of Jamaal Tinsley disgracing the Pacers uniform. Send him packing along with Jermaine, I'm Not Happy Being a Pacer, O'Neal!!

Nice. Didn't see the game because I'm out of town but saw the highlights last night in my hotel. Wow...put up 125 pts. From the box score it appears both Murphy and Foster played very well with Jermaine out. I don't think that is a coincidence either....more like a trend.....and looking more like a fact. So, to beat the same drum....if a deal happens with O'Neal then PLEASE bring in another SOLID point guard and a serviceable big man.

"They did it without starters Jamaal Tinsley, who was suspended, and Jermaine O'Neal, who played the game's first nine minutes and then sat down with a sore left knee." There it is, the winning formula the JOB has been looking for!!!

Why can't Pacer management see that Jermaine Oneal presence in the game hurts the team. The Pacers would be better off cutting him and taking their medicine. They are a much better team without his presence.

They should use this game as a motivation to go further, maybe it's time for O'Brian to put J7O to bench and let him play in second and third quarter when we are weak, and he'll play against second units.

As I and many others have said before, get Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley out of the game and the Pacers can win games.

When we played Golden State last week I noticed Jamaal was very fiesty. He was wanting a fight to break out. I think he was on drugs then. That is probably why he was suspended and needed to be.

What a difference in the game when the "Supposed Stars" were out of the game. That proves that they CONTROL the game. I still think they bet on the games as well. Get RID of J.O. & J.T. and watch the Pacers grow.

Don't keep Jeff Foster out of the game again. That was DUMB! He is an awesome all around player. I was so proud of Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy and Travis Diener. Golden State's tongue were hanging out, wondering why they got rid of them. Too bad, we are glad. Those white boys can play ball can't they? So can Danny Granger and Shawne Williams et al. I love the Indiana Pacers!!!

Again and Again and Again we the fans can see the core problem of this team. Even before Reggies last year, managment has been trying to build a team around a player who really is a #2 at best!
Jermaine has done nothing but ruin and run good player threw our doors. With the help of Carlile!
He is the reason Reggie did not consider playing another year or coming back to Indy. He is the reason Artest wanted out so quick! He is the reason Peja left without consideration of the Pacers.
And if the Pacers do not move this "Boy playing in a Mans Game" (Oneal) out of here. We will see Jeff Foster and Granger do the same.
Wake up Larry before its to late to save whats left!

O'Brien said. "We don't have the talent set to break somebody down. If you don't have great one-on-one players on the court, you need to move. When we move, we're a pretty good basketball team.

Yes, as soon as Jermaine Oneal left the game for good, the Pacers were able to get back into it.

GREAT WIN!!! That was one of the most exciting games I have seen in a long time...anywhere! Pacers showed a lot of pride coming back the way they did. This team is on the verge of making a great run -- just need to fit the pieces of the puzzle together...and they are close.

If you guys think the Pacers will win many games without a low post threat or a legitimate point guard you're crazy. You will not score 46 points in the 4th quarter on many nights if ever again. You may not need JO or JT but you still need a legit PG and PF and this team has none.

It seems to me the trend for the Pacers has to be to start slow in a game so they actually have some motivation to comeback in the second half. We struggle with holding leads, but if we get a decent sized deficit in the first half, chances are we have the right guys to get motivated and lead a comeback.
I think we should just start games by giving the other team a 10-point lead and go from there. We might actually have a winning record then.

I agree with all of the comments above.
I wanted to smart off here again because I can't stand post Reggie era.
I think Bird and Donnie realize everything said above but are stuck with guaranteed contracts (unlike the NFL) and can't trade JO and JT. And those guys are being paid regardless if the Pacers cut them. Cutting them doesn't fix anything but show the great city of Indy that the organization is serious.
Until another team wants JT and JO, the Pacers are stuck with them.
I like JO as a person and role model; however, his style of play doesn't fit in Indy any longer. I met JO in a hotel lobby during his first year in Indy, A very nice young man that referred to me as "Sir". Wow!
JT is a gangster from the streets of NY.

GEEZ....how many times are we going to have to hear..."they are about to make a run"...."they are in the middle of a HUGE winning streak, wait and see"????? You are one of the many fools who think anything is going to be different with this team without MAJOR changes to the players and front office.

If you thought that was the most exciting thing you have seen "anywhere" in a long time, may I suggest you get out every once in a while and obtain a life if this is what you call major excitement.

p.s. you need to have all the pieces of a puzzle for it to all fit together.

Think the rest of the team made a statement in getting the win without their troubled "stars"?

If JO and JT can't be traded, then leave them
sitting on the bench since the Pacers do much
better without them being out there on the floor.
How's that for a solution?
