Hawks believe they have Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade 'caged'

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Joe Johnson said the goal is to put Dwyane Wade "in a cage." "It's pretty much like a double-team, two guys try to keep him locked up and make him give up the ball," the Atlanta Hawks guard said Tuesday, as he looked ahead to Wednesday night's Game 2 against the Miami Heat in this best-of-seven opening-round NBA playoff series.

IT all stems to SPO starting beaasley. IF beas is on in the beginning,, they cant leave michael alone so dwade will be one on one. They dont even worry about haslem, so it makes no sense to leave beas on the bench to start. THen, when other shots are falling, wade will have much easier time. Dony sit your 2nd best player and get 0 production from haslem and JO. if we had zo or shaq giving us 15ppg-20ppg, fine, haslem 's D works well. But when haslem is next to a non scorer, he is useless. SPO< JO IS NOT THE JO OF 4 yrs ago

I seem to remember Beasley getting a rebound or two in the first game! Ira, says rebounds are the main reason to start UD over Beasley?

he needs to start our 2nd best player (beasley) to take pressure off and make them stop doubling wade.

Let Beasley start and take some of the weight offf of Wade. He's efficient but must learn to think pass first before letting go witha jumper. Shoots much too quickly. Move Moon into the lineup at small forward. He's a willing defender with a nice wung span. Notice I said a willing defender.

This team is so bad. Wade is no Lebron. James by himself took that team to the finals. I don't think they'll beat the Lakers. But at least they're watchable.

That's why Wade single-handedly won Miami a title and Lebron has nothing.

Oh really? Teach me genius why that team won the title and this team stinks like a steamy nugget. I guess Shaq contributed nothing? I must have missed the playoffs and the only time Antoine Walker produced. Or maybe that one game winning shot Payton hit. The common factor between these two teams is Wade. The difference is the supporting cast, and any chances of winning a title, are gone. I'd try to break it down further for you. But I don't think you'd understand.

Oh really? Tell me again genius why that team won a title. I suppose Shaq contributed nothing? And I must have missed the playoffs and the only time Walker and Payton produced. Wade, having a more productive year, is the common factor between the two teams. Only now the supporting cast, and any chances of winning, are gone.

Although I do not condone in talking bad about my team, I will have to agree that Wade can be maneuvered into taking ill advised shots. He has improved in his 3 point shooting but I think he's getting a little carried away with it. Hopefully they will be a lot more aggressive tomorrow against the Hawks and their home crowd.

If they are so watchable how come they still haven't sold out their games in Cleveland HAHAHA. Yes I know Miami fans aren't great neither but at least they sell out the arena. Now getting the people in the arena is another story but hey if they paid and decide not to go then good for them.

By the way, feel free to debate with me on that. I heard on Sunday during Game 1, the announcer on ABC said what, the Cavaliers don't sell out every game with LeBron? I find it hard to believe myself, I think the guy is awesome.

The heat are lacking in talent.
The hawks have the better talent, cohesion and a servicable center.
Anyone that thinks that wade can win this series by himself needs to stop drinking the jungle juice.

wade would have never made it to the finals without shaq, walker, payton, mourning, williams, posey, kapono...he might have won the title once he got into the finals, but he wouldnt have had the oppurtunity without a great team around him...d wade is now dealing with what lebron had to deal with the first 5 years of his career.

they sold out 39 of the 42 games during the regular season jackass...indiana and philly had two sellouts this year, both were when the cavs came into town...how about you do some research on the subject you obviously dont know anything about.
