The Bench Mob got benched. The Lakers' second unit was so ineffective in the first half of the season opener Tuesday against the Clippers that its members hardly played at all in the second.

I can't wait to see until Ron Artest can start to hit some of the wide open looks he's getting from three-point land. It will stretch the floor out and make the Laker's triangle offense even more difficult to defend for opponents. I don't think it is an option for any team to double-team Kobe this year. The only scenario they could double down on him would be if Kobe was out there with Vujacic, Walton, Powell and Mbenga; which never happens.

Look at the Lakers bench mob:
Farmar (drive and shoot)
Vujacic (shaky shooter)
Brown (drive and shoot)
Walton (post-up and facilitator)
Powell (outside shooter)
Mbenga (not a scoring threat)

None of these guys play well without the ball and dive the lane or move to open space well. No wonder they got outscored. They need a reliable scorer in the post (Bynum/Gasol) or someone who moves well without the ball (Odom/Artest). There's reasons the 2nd team didn't score well. They sit on the perimeter and wait for the ball to be passed around.

Take your time, Pau, take your time. Don't even get on the practice floor until you're 100%.

Different year same results. Let the Laker girls play! They will lose the lead and starters will get it back. What to we need the so-called Bench Mob for?

Look at Laker bench Mob:
Farmar(loser should have stayed in school longer)
Sasha(loser inconsistent shooter & crybaby)
Brown(potential winner, jury still out let's wait & see)
Walton(loser injury waiting to happen)
Powell(loser don't work hard enough ala Rambis or AC, also a Clipper reject)
Mbenga(serviceable substitute)
Let's face it, the Lakers, because of their excellent starters win despite the bench not because of it.

You forgot about yourself...OHHHHHHHHHHHHH that's right, easy to sit behind the computer and talk about others that have more talent in their left pinky than you have in your whole body...
