Mr Ariza, take what is being offered as a great starting point. You are only off of what you are looking for, if the reports are correct, by 1.5mil. Plus know one is goingto beat the Laker's deal at that. Oh and by the way did you consider playoff money, em incomparison to say the Clippers.
Go ahead and get the deal done and tell you idot agent to shut his mouth and get back to work, and stop biting the hand that feeds the two of you.

I don't think there are too many teams willing to pay $10 and $7 million for Odom and Ariza. The only teams with that kind of salary caps are the Clippers or Raptors. Portland already spent theirs on Turkoglu. If Ariza or Odom leaves, the Lakers may be better off with Artest. So, if all they care about is money and not another championship, let them go somewhere that will "pay them to lose" for the rest of their basketball lives!

I think Kobe shoulda opted out and signed a new contract worth a little less money...that would of helped a lot...I know he's worth a lot as a superstar but he can learn to sacrifice a little too.

i heard Ariza is thinkin of leavin cuz he wants more than mid-level...$5.6 mil...come on now...if he leaves we should go after Ron Ron or Grant Hill...they would probably take that mid-level...

Good to see these guys coming back. Ariza's meetings with Houston are a display of his character and loyalty.

If Ariza has to leave, Artest is more than capabale of filling that hole if he keeps his head on straight. I like Ariza a lot, but Artest is stronger, better defender, and can shoot the 3 as well as Trevor (plus he can post). Besides, he and Kobe are both 30, so 3-4 more years is about the max the Lakers have to run the table. Once Kobe's gone, it will be a long way back to the top. So why not stack the deck now with some more experienced 30ish players?
