Everything have to take a Day and a Century to get done John? Aren't we over thinking this stuff? I like both players, but they overestimated the value of themselves in the market place. This was like a cancer last year. You can't keep both. Gorden has been the bailout guy when the clock was running out and proven again and again that he unlike many other players he could perform in the clutch.
Get rid of Deng, Capt Kirk, Noch, Hughes, even without fair value, just to freshen up the locker room with a new attitude with your new coaching staff otherwise another year of you loving the the same team that were overachievers in the first place........JOHN!

If I'm Pax, I tell Deng's agent to go fly a kite. Deng and Gordon had their chance last year to sign a good deal; they gambled, played horrible, team stunk, and now they're issuing edicts/demands. Ha! Yeah, if I'm Pax, I'd tell Deng's agent to send his client to a Berlitz class quick to pick up Greek. Only way I'd sign this character is for a contract with fewer years, less guaranteed money, and a bunch of incentive clauses. If it doesn't match last year's offer, tough. Pax, stick to your guns.

I like Deng. Great guy, nice jump shot but he is surprisingly slow for a guy with his build. I'd like to keep him but won't shed any tears if a deal can't be reached.

I like Lou Deng alot i think he is a major part of Chicagos future but he is not worth 11 million and for him to turn it down was a slap in the face if Deng would have signed that contract it would have added to the list of Paxsons bad GM signings like Delnegro heres is some advice John Sign and trade.

i'd probably try and keep dang and get rid of heimlich. may opt to keep gortons too. get rid of noseeonly. there yous go. i can do better than pax. yeah, get rid of paxson too. in fact, get rid of the bulls and bring Cuban's Mavoricks here. (that should scare reindorf out of his comfort zone.)

If your not going to keep Loul Deng, at least try to get some one who will feel in his shoes like Josh Smith He's not consistent on the offensive end yet but he gives you 18 ppg 8 rpg and a few assist. But you can always count on J. Smith to get it done on the defensive. I also think that the Bulls should keep Ben Gordon yeah.......He had a bad season 18 ppg from 21 a game when they were 49-33. I'll keep him coming off the bench the whole season. If the bulls keep Ben Gordon and with or without Loul Deng. the bulls will be contenders again in the east.

I can post about a prima dona ball player but I cannot post about gangster cowards burning down a house in Little Village and killing people inside the house. The Trib is nuts and just as cowardly as the gangster cowards.

if deng dont sign, why not go for a josh smith or the forward from bobcats, trade kirk try and sign gorden because he is good at shooting and good when he comes off the bench like last year

Is it possible that Pax will not up his offers because if Deng & Gordon sign 1 year tender offers, it will free up enough cap space after 2009 to go after Lebron? Not sure how much room we'd have, and there will be a lot of other teams competing, but after Deng and Gordon's selfish attitudes, I think I could settle for a starting lineup of Rose, Hinrich, Nocioni, Thomas, and Noah.(Sub King James in there and you get instant powerhouse).

deng proved that he can NOT be counted on as the "closer" of a game NOR a team leader. So, what do you have??? An average player with tons of "potential". He does NOT have the mind set to be a leader that can bring home a championship.

Potential does NOT make a great player. Great players PLAY great (all the time ala Air Jordan) AND know how to make their team mates a factor in winning!

deng had his chance for all the money and deng blew it. deng should look to his agent and curse him for bad advice and then fire him.
