If the Magic are so impressed with Calderon, they should try to get him this summer in free agency. It would be a definite upgrade over what they have now.

Slipping to the #4 seed wouldn't be the biggest tragedy. Yes, the first round match-up might be tougher, but it would put us in the Boston bracket for the second round instead of the Detroit bracket, which seems much more formidable for the Magic. I think we'd have a better chance knocking off Boston than Detroit.

Who's at a bigger disadvantage -- the team (Orlando) that could be hampered at point guard or the club (Toronto) that is without its all-star big man?

Is this a trick question?

Not sure how the game is going to be... Last time we played them Calderon beat the Jesus-Loving out of JN... And for some reason Doolin played around 17 minutes. Today KD is not playing, and JN is questionable. That leave us with CA (not a good defender by any stretch, and the Hedo experiment. I wonder how it will evolve!

The way JAMEER has been lately, Calderon is a definite possibility. WE have mid level and Jameer can be shipped. OTIS dont play. He will clear that Error pretty quick if Jameer doesnt produce for the remaining season.
Huge reason why Arroyo was not traded because he was not sure about Jameer's consistency streering the team.
We'll see.

Tell you the truth, Toronto does scare me. They have a great perimeter rotation...almost very similar than Orlando. But we do have a better frontline in Howard/Turk/Lewis. The only problem is that we are inconsistent. They have a better PG and Bosh is multidimensional. If we bring our A game, we can beat them any day but if we falter, yes, we will get spanked.
On Arroyo, yes, he is not a great defender but I will take his stability adn ball distribution skills anyday on Jameer. Arroyo is always ready when called up and will never dissapoint. With Jameer, you just dont knwo what you gonna get. You might get 17pts but with 8TO's adn that just kills the frontline.

i agree. i would rather see him playing here consistantly playing well than doing as nelson tends to do, up one day down the next.

Your thought is on the ball...but you are forgetting..PG is in demand...everybody wants a PG...we can ship for a better PF and then get another PG through a trade or mid level. Its do-able...but that all depends on his performance for the rest of the season.

I still like our chances tonight. I remember us losing to a Boshless Toronto last year when we got overconfident. Still, with playoff ranking possibly at stake, I think that the boys will show up.

And hey, possibly put up or shut up night for JJ. I hope he does well.

Nelson can't be trade for Calderon, since the 35 million extension contract error made by Otis. If Nelson its trade for Calderon some magic players should go with him with some money also.
Who wants to trade Nelson on their NBA Fantasy Team?

I hope you are right...I would love to spank the crap out of them just like we did NY.
Also..More playing time for JJ would be great.
