"Andris Biedrins, a restricted free agent with the Warriors, is also expected to draw interest, as are possible trades for the Miami Heat's Shawn Marion"

Would shave $14M off our payroll!!! And would get us a young good center.

The Heat should get Brown and Pargo at point and at center.

Since Marion has that huge salary and is a free agent next year it makes sense to move him.
Especially now with Beasley at sf.

Give the kid a break. He was just trying to be funny. If you go on youtube and watch some of his interviews you will notice that he likes to be a clown.

You F------, sports people are nuts.

The rest of us people can NOT pay our property taxes.

Direct TV costs over $100/ mo. Because of their sports contracts.

There is NO sport in the world worth this money.

What is the point of having one of the richest owners in sports if we can't be above the tax? Jeez.

Creativity? That was something Riley and his camp followers should have thought about some years ago, before they painted themselves into a corner. Not after that deed is done. Even though they hit the world's fair, with two great draft picks, they still are a long way from a good team. Without draft picks for next year, probably in the first and second round, with the Blount and Banks contracts as a millstone.
The truth is that Riley, whose coaching credentials are all based on the past, has proved himself a very poor money manager. Had he been managing another part of Micky Arison's empire, he would have been out on his ear long ago. His series of bad deals and short-term thinking have put the Heat in a hole they are unlikely to get out of this year or next -- and that means more unsold seats and all the rest that goes with another losing record. Beasley and Chalmers may be great prospects, but they are not going to solve the team's problems.
If Arison did not do the deed, Riley should have -- and still should -- pack up and vanish. But Instead of giving way gracefully, and letting someone else run the show he has installed Spoelstra, possibly a great coach in his own right but under the circumstances doomed to be a yes-man. And the Heat, sad as it is to say it, are doomed to more years of Riley-caused mediocrity.

I hope the Heat gets something for Ricky Davis since Miami gave up a first round pick. Not a smart trade by Riley and the Heat.

Ricky is not under contract anymore! a sigh and trade is what would be more of a realistic approach
