WOW! Is it still Basketball season??? I had no idea! Are the Heat still playing in Miami? Are they doing good - I haven't heard a thing about them this year since the Dolphins had a good year. I can't see none of these other South Florida pro teams making it down here if the Dolphins have a good 5, 6, 7 year run.

Great win Heat. Cook, Wade and Beasley great job and big win!! What is is with the SS. The Miami Heat and Miami Hurricanes have big wins and are off to great seasons, but are relegated to obscurity in this paper on on this site. If this were a Florida Gators win it would have been the main lead, instead of the current column about Florida Panthers Hockey. Anything besides Florida Gators or Miami Dolphins Football is on the back burner. Soon they are gonna start leading with Orlando Magic stories. If it were something negative about the Heat it would lead. They are fans who do like the local teams (and by local I don't mean Gainsville). Tomorrows lead story. Tim Tebow gets hair cut!!!

Some of us have the ability to pay attention to more than one sport. The Dolphins aren't going to the Super Bowl anytime soon anyway...

If some how we could get D. Cook, D.Wright, M. Chalmers and Mr. Beasley to play at a high level consistently, night in and night out,(not that some of them aren't doing it already) we'd have a very good team for years to come and we'd make a very good run for the finals this year.(Provided D. Wade is healthy).

Let's Go Heat!!!

I don't like seeing Quinn on the court at crunch time and Spo leaving Beasley on the bench with 20 points. Didn't like that at all, I was screaming at the TV...That's probably the 1st time i disagreed with his substitutions..Quinn is a nice player but definitely not a closer, we almost gave the game away. In crunch time I'd rather see a lineup of:

Dwade
Dcook
Marion
Beasley
U.D.

I think the reason is the TO's....
Quinn is less likely to travel or throw bad pass...but I agree, he shouldn't shoot.

Chalmers will be in that position again. Quinn is just marking time for him. He only took 5 shots, made a big three-pointer and didn't turn the ball over.

Chalmers just hit the rookie wall nose first, but he'll recover. The only consistent thing about rookies is their inconsistency.

What I am enjoying is that they are learning to win tough games, and even when they are against a clearly better team, these youngsters still give them a battle.

I think we can forget about D.Wright... As much as I hate to say it, he won't make it here or anywhere else for that matter (IMO).

Wade is the face of Miami sports I dont think that is going to happen and once the Heat start making good runs again youll see packed houses. But I agree with you on one thing the Dolphins do get a little too much credit in South Fl.
