Miami Heat wouldn't be surprised by major moves

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Erik Spoelstra expressed regret for his team's final performance. "I apologize to the organization and the fans, that even though we got to a Game 7, we just hoped that we could have been a little bit more competitive," the Miami Heat coach said of Sunday's season-ending 91-78 loss in Atlanta.

its just going to be the same story next year. they have no room and wouldnt sign anyone next year anyway cause they want alot of room for the class of 2010. i love most of the guys on this team but most of them arent starting caliber NBA players except Dwyane.

We did better this season than anyone would have expected. This should raise the bar for next season, hopefully Beasley gets out of his "playful" mood and put his talents to work.

I am glad he expressed regret. It was a shameful performance. They way the series had gone, you would have thought a sense of urgency would be paramount. We flunked. Apart from Haslem of course. Wade needed to do what he did in game 6 but he only had 14 points in the first half. You knew it was over then. We have a long, long way to go because in the next week or so Hawks fans will be feeling the same way we do.

Beasley needs to grow up no doubt, he is just to soft sorry.Chalmers either needs to greatly improve his offense, or we will be looking at Luther Head getting more time. They should not go out and take on more salary unless they are getting the right person. I strongly suggest Cook stay away from the three point contest next year. If he doesn't improve next year they need to get rid of him. Let's hope that O'Neal gets himself in better shape. These four players clearly have to step up next year and they all need to be held accountable.

I don't think he was being serious. But while he's at it, why not throw in Alec Kessler.

I was thinking Willie Burton and Harold Miner. And I think he was dead serious, not smart, just serious.

Jermaine O'Neal should be traded, but nobody is dumb enough to take a 30 year old center that makes $23 million a year, plays soft and cries for the ball all the time. So, another year of mediocrity for the Heat it is. Hopefully Wade doesn't mind playing with the Chris Quinns and Jamario Moons and sticks around. I personally see him playing for the Knicks, which makes me want to vomit. No way they get LBJ, so who is the next best on that list? Mr. Wade.

C: O'Neal (C-), Anthony (D+)
PF: Beasley (B-), Haslem (C-)
SF: Jones (C-), Moon (C-)
SG: Wade (A+), Cook (D+)
PG: Chalmers (C-), Head (D+)

It's not a good thing when you only have 2 above average NBA starting level players.

If both of those players are great, or a third one joins them...then you have have a good/dangerous team.

Few teams have more than 3 above average players. Atlanta had 3 (Johnson, Smith, and Bibby)...it shouldn't have been enough with Wade & Beasley on our team...but with Wade injuried several of those games and us having so many players new to the play-offs (including Beasley)...it was.

Next year, all those players will have experienced the play-offs...if these two teams remeet next year, its the Heat in 6.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
