A distasteful effort for Miami Heat in Paris

Wednesday night, it was all about French cuisine for the Heat. Thursday night, it again was about the inability to find the recipe for preseason victory. Read more

yes Banks had t.o's but he was a bull, got in the lane, made some
nice dishes, rebounded, and he should have earned a starting job with this performance, especially if he can do the same and limit t.o's on sunday. i have never seen him at any length before this and was impressed. Spo should give him a shot. he certainly seems to have the tools and he is fast..and strong. the announcers said he bulked up since last season.

from what i saw here CDR was the steal of the draft. at #40 MUCH better than Chalmers at #34.

CDR is a Rip Hamilton clone. There is no way that he should have dropped that far in the draft. I believe that he ends up having a better career than his Memphis teammate D.Rose.

Man that is one misleading title on this article "A distasteful effort for Miami Heat in Paris". It would've been wiser for the writer to wait to deceive the people on one of the preseason games that isn't covered nationally for everyone to see. Effort clearly wasn't an issue during the game. I am slowly beginning to see why Pat Riley and the bloggers don't think to highly of Ira's agenda.

Ira needs to quit. Hes done. He seems to hate his job. He gets no joy from this. Time for a change.

Yea, It's Ira's fault the Heat was 15-67.

Remember...it was Ira who dissed Zo during the 2006 championship run commenting that Zo was just hanging around, not really contributing, and wasting roster space.

i can't understand how Riley could
pass on a 6'6" Sg/sf like CDR in favor of 6'1" Chalmers. I thought he loved height above all. He would make
Marion expendable, and a good point guard could therefore be obtained.
Did the fact that Rose had so much talent obscure the talent of CDR?

Next to Wade, CDR was heads and shoulders the obvious outstanding talent yesterday--and only a rook.
Pound for pound minute for minute had a bigger impact than Beasley did. Boy did we let one get away!!!!!

This team has no center. Look for the same result as last year.

umm Genius...Marion is ALREADY expendable and we can't get a PG for him...so how would making our PG depth even thinner for another SF (that would make 4 to 5 good SF) a good thing??

II don't think these fellows would have palates that are evolved enough to appreciate fine French food. Leave that endeavor to the more refined and evolved of us, such as myself. It is better these fellows stick with simple and easy to understand things to eat, like chicken fried such and such or whatever.. They know as much about class, and the finer things in life as I do the double dribble, . Something they undoubtedly do over their plate as well as on the court and I myself cant understand for it is under my stature. I, on the other hand am good enough to stay at the arc de Hilton when ever I partake in the city of lights. Our boys should have walked down the Champs and got something from the Mac Donald's or at Cowboy Burger rather than sully a fine restaurant. I am sure it was tedious on team and chef a like.

"a new day": good points you make--
but--
CDR can swing from 2/3. so he's an uprgrade over Cook there--plus,
i don't know about his defense, but that can be taught. offense can't, and CDR is already better than Marion.
and we have Diawara and Wright if we
need defensive presence in critical
situations if CDR is slow at it. not saying he is, maybe he's already an adequate defender. I just don't know, but i do know he's
a brilliant offensive talent.

Chalmers will not be ready to do more than spot duty for quite a while. so we passed on the greater talent. Just because we are willing to make a trade for Marion now doesn't mean he won't be missed at the sf positon because we don't have anyone nearly as good--but we would if we had CDR.

If Banks works out we will be Ok at pg. Marion will bring a nice player
and/or draft picks once contending clubs lose key players to injury.

if you are implying that the heat should have gotten CDR, you are an idiot the heat needed a Point Guard and a Shooting Guard or a Small Forward. the heat made the right choice to pick chalmers and chamlmers had is moments too. People need to learn this for ALL SPORTS THE PRESEASON MEANS NOTHING. in preseason guys are not really trying this is a warmup gme it just happento be on TV. or it would not matter.

please change your name from genius to retard because you are one where would CDR be next to wade that means he would have to play SF and then where would you put beasley at the power forward spot ok then what happens to haslem are you going to put him at center. oh what and them we will still need a Point guard. you had people saying that we need a good young point guard but now you say you want CDR because he is doing "good" against people trying to get a roster spot in the preseason. do remember retard Wade said he does not want to handle the ball anymore so the heat nneded to get a Point Guard. and its so nice to see that people are saying he is good because of one good game if he sucked what would you be saying, that right nothing!!!!!!!!!!
