NBA free agency has Miami Heat on sideline at start

Stand Pat. Worst case is that we work a sign and trade with Wade if we are getting wind that he will not re-up. I'm sure we could land D-Rose or D Williams plus pieces. Plus we would have a ton of money. Wade wanting Riles to compromise 2010 by going after guys now is ridiculous w/o know Wade's status.

Pull the trigger and open up the coffers for a quality free agent this year (Turk or Gortot) don't sit on your ass and wait for 2010 because you just might lose Wade for lack of venture. My hope is that we have a PLAN B for 2010, i don't like the idea of putting all the eggs in one basket...as a fan we not renew our season tickets until 2010. If management feels that we should be average until next year, why charge the same ticket price this year...poor marketing!!!!

Wait on a possibility (Bosh) rather than a definate (Free Agents that are available) . This is a risky and dumb stance taken by Miami and other teams to wait until 2010

Wade is waiting to see if the Heat will improve before he signs. But the Heat wont sign any free agents that would improve the team until Wade signs an extension. There is no guarantee that Wade wont leave in 2010 so this is a risky move by Riley. Unless Wade resigns now there is no guarantee that they will land a big name in 2010 . I have a strong feeling that Wade will bolt for the Knicks along wit Bosh . Or Wade will resign and Lebron reups wit Cleveland mean will Bosh was traded in 2009 season and resigns wit whomever he was traded for leaving the Heat wit the same group we have currently. Best bet would be to sign Turkoglu and show Wade that they are improving and not risk losing him

wade is staying in mia im his close friend with wade since chicago bosh will come to the 305 cause wade and bosh have the same agent i see j oneal having a 15ppg and 10reb with beasely avging 22ppg and 12reb. but we will see what happens

Based on all of his past trading clunkers, & the fast and furious deals going on around the league - Riley's waiting game appears to be back firing. If he continues this - all the available players and deals will be gone. HeatFans will have yet another rebuilding season watching Wade try to do it all.

Yeah I know right, Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Jamal Mashburn, Brian Grant, EJ, GP, Shaq, really what was/is he thinking. Does he really think he can resign D Wade for more money than any team in the NBA and add a top tier player (Bosh, Bryant, Amare, L.James, J Johnson etc.) to a max salary, plus mid level exemptions and still have chalmers, beasley, and cook for years to come. I don't know but Riley might just need a psych eval or something.
