Wade is a great "driver to the basket" and drawing fouls and thats about it. his long range shot is suspect(very streaky), his mid range jumper is suspect(again, very streaky), doesnt have a post-up game, and is not a lockdown defender.

anyone watched the game saw the play where Al Horford was fouled by James Jones and Horford landed hard and was out for the game? did anyone see what happened right before?? wade, who is considered an "elite" in the NBA got broke by Al Horford who is a CENTER. all he did was fake left and he blew by Wade which set up the foul.

like i said, at driving to the basket, he is the best in the league hands down...but thats about it. without Shaq, i highly doubt Wade will ever see the Finals again unless he steps up his defense. obviously everyone has good shooting nights as well as bad shooting nights. but one aspect of the game that consistency is up to the individual themself is defense and Wade lacks on the ball defense. team defense, yes, hes good, but hes not someone to lockdown on.

wade and cook should start with wade at the point. wade should stop settling for jumpshots, be a man, man up and get to the rim---every time he can, draw the foul. stop taking the easy way out. they win if he does this; if they don't they lose and he plays like he is hurt again, making excuses for failure....

absolutely sad effort. it looked like men vs. boys out there tonight. atlanta is clearly the better team. wade is the only consistent player on this team. cook and chalmers are bench players. o'neal is waaay too inconsistent. bottom line is this team just isnt that good.

Chickens coming home to roost...to many D wade years with really bad draft pics and trades for older temporary players. Wade trully has no one around him to consistently help carry the load.

I am a structural engineer and if you think that this was an inside job... you need to get off your conspiracy theory fix, because that is ridiculous. No steel frame building will stand to 45-min to 1 hour of flames, plus with 1/3 of their columns destroyed. Don't believe everything they tell you.

Back to the game. Chalmer's defense is downright pathetic. He is good off the ball defender intercepting passes and getting steals, but that's it. Player's he defends blow by him constantly, and lets not even get into the topic of fighting off screens.
Wade is a little better defensively, but not much. I've always said it, he is not a great one-on-one defender, he is good weak side defender, coming to help and blocking from behind on other players (i.e. the ones he is not guarding) same as Chalmers, good at reading passing lanes. I got flamed for saying this 3 months ago when he was being nominated by Miami fans for defensive player of the year. Go figure.

Beasley... what can I say. I was really excited when the Heat drafted this kid, but he has A LOT of growing up to do on the basketball court. He's good driving to the basket, but seems too weak for crying out loud...take it in with authority, dunk the mfing ball. He has improved defensively but still pretty slow there. Showing a lot of life on the rebounds, which is a great sign. But wow, if the Heat win this series it will be because Wade somehow regained his 2006 form and the rest of the team makes contributions.... can someone please make those damn jumpers?

This shouldn't be a suprise. It's a credit to Wade that the team even made the playoffs and got this far. Look up and down the roster...they are bunch of undersized, small, non-athletic guys. They played most of the season without a center (plying guys like 6'8 slow footed Haslem for center). Usually, when a team fields small lineup, they are quick, fast, athletic bunch. But, this team is small and slow and not very athletic. Honestly, this team is made up of bunch of scrubs that even non-playoff teams won't take..and that includes the 23 million dollar center that gets 1 or 2 rebounds on a bad night and 5 or 6 rebounds on a good night. Look around and you will see that even a very weak team in NBA has a bunch of athlectic 6'10, 6'11 guys that run the court well and all that stuff. Heat does not have even one. Beasley is the only one worth noting, but he is not big and he is not the grant, deng type of athlete that can run and move fast. After all that has been said and done, they still have a hole at center, small forward, point guard, and power forward. Guys at each of those position lack something major to build a winner. If they had oneal, chalmers, haslem, Jones coming off the bench, that would make a decent bench, but as starters....that is woeful...and exchanging Beasley for Haslem wouldn't be much of improvement.

Chalmers isn't going to be great point guard and Wade's presence will make sure of that too. Do you think Billups can come in take control of the team like he did in denver? That means Billups will have to have the ball in his hands not in wade's. And that won't happen with Wade. Chalmer will be a great backup. Seriously though, if Wade wants to handle the ball that much, then, he should take the responsibility as the point guard and become a point guard. By hadnling the ball that much, he is rendering the point guard position useless and ireelevant. They need a point guard who can take control of the game and get everyone involved.

They need a real point guard, but why would a good point guard want to come to a team when he is not going to handle the ball much? And they need a power forward...big, atheltic, defensive minded, rebounding thoroughbred or thug. They need a real upgrade from Jones at small forward. Probably no one else in the league has a worse starting small forward. Face it, this is a bad team. They are not big. They are not athletic. They are not very talented offensively, beside Wade and Beasley. This is not a rebuilding year. There is nothing to build on. this is the year of confimation that Wade is great and the team is made up of bunch of scrubs that no one wants. But there are some pieces there and the year 2010 is coming. Get rid of all the pieces and start getting a few talented, athletic players and build the big three that won't include Beasley or Wade. There is no way Beasley and Wade can coexist, especially after this year. They almost hate each other now. gotta get rid of one or the other. Sooner the better. And that would be the starting point on rebuilding.

My old man worked at a steel factory. He can tell you what a couple thousand degrees of fahrenheit(spelling?) will do to piece of steel. Don't believe the political radicals on either side. They are cancer to the great people of this nation. Wise up!

Chalmers, this kid is a great character and a descent ball player. But his defense is SHAMEFULL! Every player whose had the ball in there hand this series against chalmers has driven right pass them. Man up Chalmers. Knock someone on there Ass if you have too man. This is the playoffs Wade is playing his life out and you cant step the **** up and Help. get youre head on right and stop the sisi Play man. Enough of this Pointguards getting 25 points against us constantly. And The whole Team Man up!! Youve been getting Punked not only on the boards but were getting hit. Lets bring this thing home and hit back. Like Bibby said, "no more getting punked time to hit them hard" How'd you guys like that? Lets take this series boys.

It was more entertaining with Antoine Walker, Shaq and Payton dragging their tired butts up and down the court hitting nothing and getting beat by quicker players. This team stinks.
