Point guard still seems a Bulls priority

Darren Collison might not remember Vinny Del Negro 's name, but it's a safe bet the reverse isn't true. Full Story

Why shouldn't the Bulls look at another pg perhaps with their 2nd 1st round pick? Point guard is the strength of the 2009 draft. Look, the Bulls are not keeping a $9 mil. backup pg. And though Kirk has proven he is valuable he'll be getting less minutes as Rose minutes increase. If Kirk can be package where the Bulls can get a veteran big man now or even a mid to high first round next year (loaded with forwards next year) then I hope the Bulls pull the trigger.

If you look at the three dominant players from the Magic, all 3 can play the conventinal post (Howard, Turk and Lewis) The great thing about Turk and Lewis is that both can hit from the outside as well.

Remember 2 of he Bulls best players ever (MJ and Pip) can play the post and also pop from the outside.

The Knicks are the only team that might be suckered into taking Hinrich's contract. Do you think that they would take Tim Thomas back, too?(Not to mention that Duhon is more productive anyway,)

the bulls imo don't really need that dominating post presence people think they do. most dominant post presence players are slow in transition and clog up the lane w/o decent midrange shot.
if the bulls plan to keep their offense the same, bulls would need basically a spot up shooter, 2 people who can handle offense, and 2 big men with decent range shots who they use with pick and roll. along with 1 of the big men who have a decent back to the basket offense for smaller teams and when they need some offense from FTs or jump shots not hitting.
problem with bigs atm are they usually end up clogging driving lanes for rose, noah has weak hands by basket/ no mid-range shot, thomas no post game and ball always gets knocked out of his hands when dribbling more than 2 times, miller is great compliment for offense but is liability defensively due to slow lateral movement.
Tall, spot up shooter, who can defend? How about JR Smith, a former Bull?

JR Smith is a gang thug and one of the reasons a far superior team like Denver couldn't figure out how to beat the Lakers.

Would like to see Bulls package the picks to get a good BIG. If they can't - draft a big with 16th pick - either D. Blair, J. Johnson, T. Hansbrough, or B J Mullens. Then with the 26th pick go with the best guard available - D. Collison, M. Thornton, P. Mills, T. Douglass.
