Rob Oller commentary: Cleveland needs a villain; in steps Noah ...

The villain is vermin of the juiciest kind, which explains why actors often prefer playing the bad guy to starring as the hero. Full Story

Rob,

Look, anyone who travels with any regularity knows that Americans who live on either Coast consider the entire state of Ohio to be Siberia. I could care less what Noah say's about Cleveland because we all know he would change his tune in a second if he were offered a $10M annual contract with the Cavs.

The thing I like about Noah is that he seems determined to improve his game and not just be an NBA hanger-on who is just trying to earn a paycheck in "The Association".

If the Bulls can get this series to 2-1, things could get interesting. Key game tonight.

I live in the town where Noah went to prep school. The Lawrenceville School is one of the most prestigious schools in the country and is considered a "feeder" to the Ivies yet he talks and acts like a ghetto thug. His chest thumping and screaming like a banshee after every shot while he was at UF was ridiculous. No one in Cleveland should waste a moment on caring what this idiot thinks. He is not a villain, villains are actually interesting, Noah is not.

And the key thought in that article is "Noah is comfortable in his snakeskin".
Admittedly, Noah has been hated throughout his college games and now in the NBA. People tend to recognize classlessness.

Yeah, all away games are key. Let Noah keep filling the Cav's bulletin board with more incentives. We just might not get to welcome Noah back to the Q.

A lot of people in Ohio still remember Noah being the face of that annoying as hell Florida team which robbed tOSU of what would have been a legendary national title. Noah can suckit.

Yeah- what a jerk. Cleveland is a clean, beautiful city and vacation destination. And how dare he "rob" OSU of their national title. Why did he need a second one anyway? I wish there were less guys like him in the NBA, less guys that hustle, work hard, rebound, run the court and are passionate about each of the 80 some games they play each season. Screw him!

Sarcasm noted.
However, he didn't need to play the 'jerk card'. All big cities have problems. A lot of Cleveland's problems derived from greedy corporation owners taking jobs away from Americans and going overseas. Especially blue collar jobs which is needed as much as white collar jobs. Getting those jobs back is going to take quite a while.
Not a Buckeye fan? Who is your team?(not Michigan I hope) lol

I hated that guy in college and he sure has a mouth. Too bad it's not translating into wins...

One other note here... the NBA and classy don't belong in the same sentence. The league has become focused on entertainment- sort of like professional wrestling. There are DJs playing music during game play, Cavs players dancing on the side lines and doing fake photoshoot routines in pre-game intros. Criticizing Noah for some comments about Cleveland seem unwarrented if you're turning a blind eye to all of the other shannigans.

What Noah did is not entertainment and therefore is not shenanigans. He is a big mouth, always was always will be.

I agree. What Noah did was verbal and with malicious intent. The Cavs being loose and playful on the sidelines doesn't hurt a city/state and is what other teams just WISH they had together.

Funny how no one criticizes James for what a diva he's become this year. Oh that's right ... we live in Ohio are supposed to revere "LBJ" (shouldn't it be LJ?) like he's a Messiah. Soon your team will crash and burn, Cavaliers "fans," and the bandwagon will empty faster than the Indians' did a few years ago.

Noah is a spoiled little brat, he was at Florida and still is. Crush the Bulls quickly and move on, leaving a whining Joakim in your wake, Cavaliers...:)

Buh-bye Bulls!

Don't be jealous, Dave, you're not the only talentless person who envies LeBron....:)

I HATE Cleveland sports - but I hate jerk-boy JoeKim more. GO CAVS! The only time I'd like to see his grimy face on TV again is BAWLING after losing to the Cavs.
By the way, Cleveland is a nice place to visit...
