Most NBA fans agree that Cuban is a jerk - or worse... But, at least this is another team that is actually making moves in an attempt to WIN ... Is Pax reading about these foolish teams and chuckling because he knows he does not need to make any personnel changes - the Bulls problems evidently are just the coaches... The inability of their 2 big men (Wallace, Noah) to consistently make a 2 foot shot or free throw is - according to Pax not a problem - we just need a better coach... How about a better GM???

To be sure it is debatable that Kidd would even help the club or be an asset. With what Dallas is giving up for Jason, to compete in the explosive Western Conference Playoffs, Dallas would still need a presence in the middle at the center position. In this post-Jordan era of professional basketball, so many clubs believe you can win without a bona-a-fide presence in the middle at the center position. This is a big problem. Critics and fans alike talk about the golden years of pro basketball and the past champions of pro basketball, well; do your research: Every champion of the past had a dominant center and a savvy playmaker at the guard position. Do the research! I know because I am over fifty years old and have witnessed the great teams of yesterday. The Bulls were the exception rather than the rule, and the Bulls did have a center, it just took three men to make one. Dallas blew their chance when they let go of Steve Nash. When they traded Nash, they were only a Center away from possibly winning it all. Over-rated Dirk is a joke at defense. I personally don't care for a seven-footer who won't or can't play defense. It is a wasted resource. It is coming to the war with a four-shooter when you should have a 5-shooter. Dirk cannot play center and probably would not if asked to play center. Meddlesome owner Cuban has potentially destroyed an up and coming franchise, to once again become a farm team for the NBA. I personally am glad that Cuban is having the problems he's having. He has been nothing but disruptive since coming to to NBA. He has no basketball knowledge, and all his millions cannot replace that. His meddlesome antics ruined a relationship with one of the all-time winners (player and coach) of the game, Coach Nellie, a true player's coach. This is what you get when you let anyone have a franchise: a corruption and compromisation of integrity. Cuban, sell the team and go back to the Internet. Now the dumb Dallas fans are calling for Avery Johnson's (a proven winner as a player and coach) head. The real problem is a dumb, ignorant owner, and lazy, with limited skills players.

The problem is Avery Johnson. Johnson gets one of the most potent offenses in the West and he tries to slow them down. This would be understandable if you didn't have the offensive arsenal, but with Dirk, Howard, and Terry - seriously, the last thing you want to do is slow this group down. Get rid of Johnson, and you're one step closer to the solution.

I'm really upset and let down with how Mark Cuban is treating his players(as well as lying to the FANS) I believed him when he denied trade talks. Never would have believed he would do this to Devin Harris. Devin is such a talented player and does so much for the Mavericks. I'm sure Devin must be feeling"betrayed" Mark Cuban has made billions of dollars, he's obviously bussiness smart, however, he has no smarts when it comes to basketball..which is evident by his actions..IE- Nash- Fin- and now Devin-Stack and Gana..Sigh~ I wish he would TRADE himself to another team! until he does Mavs players and fans are screwed..
ps Mark sobbed as Dirk recieved his MVP..(acted) like he really "cared" about Dirk..So it wont shock me if Dirk is next to go..seems no one is safe when the Cuban is around.
my two cents

yeah...I remember Cuban going on Letterman blabbing jibberish about the NBA Finals in 06 when his Mavs were up 2-0 vs the Heat. Hello Mark - the Mavs window is closing.

Let's bring the story back home to Chicago. So, all the millionare owners are out in the Western Conference? Didn't I hear that Jerry Reinsdorf has his own Gulfstream and real estate syndicate. C'mon. The Bulls could afford to be dealing too if the guy that controlls the purse-strings wanted to. What ... we Bulls fans should now feel sorry because our team is in the poor Eastern Conference where money doesn't flow freely to the players and agents? Impact players are changing teams in the Western Conference but the poor Chicago Bulls team can't afford to compete with these other teams on the court or in financial terms. This was the city where Michael Jordan used to play .... how sad.

if your acually thinking of trading devin harris that is a big mistake. fist of all he is 25 and he is already amazing! by the time he turns30 imagine how good he would be! he has about 10-15 more yrs left playing, butt jason kidd is 35 years old and has about 5 years left at the most. Also remember trading Steve Nash big mistake you dont want to make another big mistake like that trading an amazing point guard like devin harris. One more thing how could you even possibly think of trading the captain of the mavs!

Sam, why are surprised that Mark Cuban would lie? Hello?Don't most sports team owners lie? You can ask any of them a pointed question and they will look you staight in the eye and either avoid the question like a presidential candidate, or flat out lie, just like a presidential candidate.
