Is Morris the real deal?

There are 2 comments on the Newsday story from Mar 25, 2007, titled Is Morris the real deal?. In it, Newsday reports that:

Eddy Curry need not worry, but Channing Frye might. A team doesn't invest $1.6 million - actually $3.2 million when you factor in the luxury tax - into a project player whom it doesn't plan on developing.

Morris seems to have the ability to block shots well and is a big man that could be used defensively against players such as Shaq. This deal should not let the Knicks think that Frye is expendable as other sport writers have suggested. Frye can hit the outside shot adn is more important than Morris, since Morris is more of an inside player. Morris however could easily replace James, since he never plays and when he does rarely plays with any passion. Morris being a young player can develop still in skill and consistency. This was a nice move by Isiah. We still need a mobile big guy that can run the court, block shots and rebound. I think the Knicks can give up their first round pick and try to get two big men in the draft, Shawn Williams and Herbert Hill. Williams is exactly what the Knicks need, a rebounder and shotblocker who can run the court. Herbert Hill has improved every year in college and could be a steady backup. With their mid level the Knicks can pick up a small forward who can score, unless they can pry Sene from Seattle in which case they can keep their first and pick up a small forward in the draft. Williams has a bad history or so the press has noted but his talent is just too good to pass up. Francis and James can be traded/bought out becuse of their inconsistent play. The Knicks will then have a core group of players who can stay together for 10+ years and that is how you win championships. Keep up the good drafting Isiah!!!!!!!!!!
