There are 3 comments on the AM New York story from Mar 25, 2007, titled Is Morris the real deal? - AM New York. In it, AM New York reports that:

Eddy Curry need not worry, but Channing Frye might. A team doesn't invest $1.6 million - actually $3.2 million when you factor in the luxury tax - into a project player whom it doesn't plan on developing.

Kudos to Isiah Thomas! I think the signing of Randolph Morris was a stroke of genius. Of course we'll all have to wait and see. But given the situation with David(Sixth Man of the Year)Lee and Quentin Richardson, a talented lowpost big body is what we need. yes we have Channing Frye, but everyone knows that Fryes threat comes from the outside and Jared Jeffries threat is ...well we haven't seen it yet. Overall I think Morris will be another one of Isiah's pleasant surprises.
