So, Rambo, you think 50 years in jail for pre-meditated MURDER is too severe? You mentioned another case involving a homosexual boy killing another boy, but we don't know the circumstances, or at least, you failed to mention them. You can't lump them together just because the one similarity is that they both involve gays.

The issue is not if this kid was a homosexual,
The issue was his behavior, and the way he choose to express himself. He was purposefully going over the top, flaunting his homosexuality in a taunting way to the other students on a daily basis.

But those on the left, have brainwahed homosexuals into ignoring the true causes for unpleasant behavior demonstrated toward them.

They have no intention to conforming to anything or anyone that does not agree with their agenda,
It's about them and only them.

It's a paradoxical psychcoligical dilema,indeed,
The lack of consious, a disturbing level of self centeredness, a lack of any desire for the understanding for others, and an unwillingnees to
acknowledge the reality of their behavior in terms of the impact it has other people.

They simply do not care, Nor, quite frankly, do the posses the ability to care.

They are jubilant in expressing a militant attitude, and they are manipulative in a sense, where like predators,
they wait to see which way the winds of consenus blows, and as soon as they see what they percieve to be an opening, they use it as a means to an end.

Unfortunatley
And in this case, the end appears to justifies the means.

Look, I think it is fantastic that the parents were cool with their son being gay. However they need to have common sense about letting him wear make-up and womens clothes to school. Just like a Parent should not let their daughter wear half tops and hot pants to school because it will expose her to the wrong type of attention, and they should not let their son wear shirts with slogans derogatory to women or with racist statements because they will get into trouble...they should really think twice before letting a son, even a gay son dress in such a way as to make himself totally stand out. I know people will start screaming that he should be allowed to be himself etc... Yes, but that isn't really the issue in High school. If you were really allowed to be yourself half the people there would show up in Bathrobes or pajames. Look, in a perfect world, a woman should be able to wear a mini skirt and walk down a dark alley and not be harrassed and a little gay (Possibly transgendered boy) should be allowed to wear make-up to school without being harrassed. But either one can cause them trouble, and the parents should have protected the boy from himself.

Interesting, I put a comment on here that was not homophobic, or insulting, it merely said that the parents should have protected their child from himself...i.e. letting him know that dressing this way in high school could cause him trouble with his peers. I'm surprised that my comment was pulled. Apparently this publication doesn't tolerate a differing opinion.

Oh, and "Bottom Line" the comment above me, please go to a dictionary and look up what "The ends justified the Means" actually refers to. Remember the basic rule, if you don't know what a word means, don't use it because it will make you look stupid.

So, bottom line, what you're saying is thats OK to kill someone if you find their behavior offensive. How many gay people do you know? Its pretty normal for all teens to be kinda "over the top" in their behavior. They are trying to find out who they are. You are just repeating what so many other BIGOTS are always saying. If we just shut up and act like everyone else (like you?) then we wouldn't get beaten up and murdered. And yes, I am jubilant to express my militant attitude. Who are YOU to tell ME how to live my life or express myself. Wasn't this country supposed to be founded on personal freedom? I hold people like you responsible for murders of this sort. Your views make it clear that if your different in any way hide it or suffer. You DISGUST ME!!

Interesting, the Dily News has now removed several comments that contained no bad language etc.. just were of differing viewpoints. If you do not want to hear other opinions, why do you have a commetns section?

I am thankful to see that others in society are beginning to take a stand for equal rights for everyone. Gay, Straight, and everything in-between it shouldn't matter as long as the respect is there.

So they're giving out the death penalty for "flaunting" now, bottom line?

You're sick, blaming a murder victim for his own death.

It is a good sign that people are learning from the Lawrence King tragedy. I hope in the future gay kids can live their lives like any other student. You should not have to be afraid because of who you are.

So, I'm guessing what you're saying is that because the boy was "flaunting" his homosexuality it gave every reason for the heterosexual to kill him? Your whole theory is whack.

Does this mean that we need to start killing off heterosexual women who play sports because they're not like other women?

You're absurb and ignorant, BOTTOM LINE.

It's very unfortunate that something like this had to occur for people to start to realize, "Hey, people are being killed just for their sexuality. Why are we letting this happen?" It reminds me all over again of the Matthew Shepard tragedy years ago. People are starting to realize that they shouldn't keep their voice unheard because of the basis society has set. Killing ANYONE is not to be justified by any means, unless of course in self defense. I don't let anyone tell me how to live my life or who to be, because this is my life and I have one chance to live it and I plan on living everyday of it being WHO I AM.

I love how ignorant thoughts are expressed with the worst grammatical practice. It's easier that way to determine which opinions are valid, well-thought out points of view and which are just based on some ridiculous notion the commentor has.

Anybody who thinks a 15 year old boy, whether gay or straight, flamboyant or shy, etc.,etc. deserves to be shot and killed is a completely ignorant person.

See, thats the thing I think his parents needed to be more aware of. There are crazy people out there. I hold my boyfriends hand when we go out, but frankly I'm keeping an eye out and we've actually had to fight in certain situations because of it. This kid was trapped in high school, I wish it wasn't necessary to prepare kids for the ugly reality of what life can throw at them, but until things change you have to. This is such a sad story.

Wow. So the kid deserved what he got because he was out-spoken about being gay and 'flamboyant'?

I bet extremist Muslims think it's just fine to kill Christers because they are openly 'Christian'.

Mike Huckabee, Gov. Bill Richardson, and many (ignorant) others say being gay is a choice. Obviously these young children are making bad choices? Intolorance, over ANY differences between people (whether visable, as in appearance-behavior, or invisible, as in which God one chooses to believe in), as evidenced by many of the posts here, seems to be a integral part of the human condition and will (sadly) probably exist until the last two humans are gone from this planet.
