Get used to it, Donnie and Larry. Your shortsightedness in examining player temperment is costing you now.

Get rid of the malcontents. You know who they are.

when you have competetive college and high school basketball available...why would anyone watch this poor excuse for the game anyway?

Goodness! What a real man you are using the T-word and all in caps!

Too bad your hate hasn't taught you to spell. How difficult is it, even for someone of your ilk, to know the difference between "to" and "too"?

Game tonite - Sat night??? Well, lets see, NASCAR at Charlotte - that will be pretty good (GO 24) and IU at Michigan State to play for a win and a bowl invite.... think I will stay home for those 2 (my pip will be busy).. Sorry Pacers - need to gain my trust back although I applaud you for the scrimmage at Arlington and that is a small price to gain for it....

Donnie and Larry:

What image are you promoting?
What image are you condoning?
Why would I want my kids to watch this team, or sport?
Why would I take my customers to watch this team?
What values does this NBA franchise reflect?
Are your players good citizens?
Are your players working hard to do good things in the community?
If so, are you getting the word out?

Is the team competitive?

Tough questions.
Tough crowd.

If they had read the comments on recent Pacer articles here they would have read that people will not bring their children to games with criminals, drug dealers, 3 AM arrests at strip joints thugs. They will not. A player gets arrested with the smell of weed in the car and in the car and he does not have a drivers license. The Pacers top officials is keeping him and saying it was a poor choice of his, that he was youthful and not mature yet. They will give him another chance.
Well, Pacers, they are adults, not teenagers. At my factory, they are and have been fired because of that type of arrest. That is not an image that we want in our operation.
If they had released that player this off season, I and other past Pacer fans would have thought that they had got the message and would not tolerate this off court behavior. They kept him like they have others. The wonderful past Reggie era Pacer image is gone, not because Reggie is gone, but because of players which are not role models for their children and grand children.
To the Pacers organiztion.....If you are reading this one, Larry, and other management, too bad, Pacer management. You have allowed this to happen. Don't be surprised that you will not have the arena half filled for any game this year. It is YOUR fault. We will support a team even though not winning if there are players with a good work ethic, give good effort, and are visible as good citizens in the community. You don't have that yet.

Even the Pacer's front office knows this team sucks. The commercial that they are running for ticket sales has highlights from Reggie, and Derrick McKey. Those moments are part of the distant past. Hiring a
mediocre coach and keeping the malcontents is a recipe for disaster.
A train wreck that will occur without one penny of my money being spent to watch. Retire Walsh, fire Larry and flush the cesspool that is the Indiana Pacers.

Donnie Walsh and Larry Bird I am am very unhappy with, When you put bad attitude THUGS on the floor with no guideance in life not just basketball you will get the result we have seen the last few years. I once was a huge pacer fan but this last few years has turned me off to the game....thank God for our Colts! Pacers management need to go over to the RCA dome and have Bill Polian and Tony Dungy teach them how to run a QUALITY team.

It's the Pacers own fault.

Solution: lower ticket prices, problem solved.

Do the Pacers really think they provide a product that is worth $90 a ticket to sit in the corner at club level? That was a rhetorical question.

I have never payed to see the Pacers and never will. When free tickets are given to me, they are always so far away it makes my wife dizzy. I really don't even watch pro ball much anymore, they could just go out there and say its tied with 2 minutes to go and then play that time out, thats the whole game in the NBA now. The last two minutes, otherwise its just a bunch of oversized high school types dunking and not playing the game the way it is supposed to be played. College ball, that is where it is at.

Didn't Donnie Walsh hit the road after the Tinsleys last run in with the law?

I think a bigger concern might be the "injuries". Are we ever going to get some players who are not so fragile?

Wow-just like the "GOOD OLD DAYS" of the 80's when the Pacers averaged 5000 fans(that is 10000 less than LAST year if your counting)! Except...that this years team has a "Bonafide"(when he wants to be) ALL-STAR-O'Neal and a above average Point Guard(when HE wants to be)-Tinsley...which is 100 TIMES better than names like Sichting,Herb Williams,Billy Knight,Clark Kellog,...a few of the names we had in those "lean" years. Bottom line is the PACERS improve the product and the presentation-the fans WILL return!
