Jermaine: You're NOT the head of the team. I have know idea why you can't understand that. A team leader is someone who would never say that he was (see Reggie Miller). Given this teams floundering around .500 the past few years, no one is apparently head of the team. A team leader is someone who elevates the games of the players around him and wins in the regular season and playoffs. You are deluded, dude.

That's a pretty unfair assessment of him this year. I know a lot of folks are just puking up what they've been digesting over the last few years...but if you watch this year's version (both before and after) the trade, you'll really see he has elevated his game to a new level. His EFFORT is improved by at least 60% or better. That's why everyone loved Reggie, his effort (be honest, his attitude sucked too until he was in his 30's). Now that Jermaine understands that, he's developing into a leader.

Folks, face it, Reggie isn't coming back. In fact, during his time, there was only one other player like Reggie and that was Jordan. We've been spoiled...time to move on.

This is just further proof that JO is on the downside of his career. He was never a leader and the Pacers need to go out and get a strong leader at the guard postion.

In a couple of weeks the Pacers will be the #1 team in the East, and everyone will forget about the bad start this year. We are only a couple games back with a bunch of games at home coming up. Go Dunleavy and Murphy, your making a difference.

YOU MUST BE TAKING SOME GOOD MEDICINE TO THINK THAT. O'NEAL IS OBIVIOUSLY NOT A LEADER AND NO MATTER HOW HARD HE TRIES HE WILL NEVER BE BECAUSE OF NO PERSONALITY WITH SKILL. BOSH WILL DEFIINITELY PROVE THAT TO HIM TONIGHT. PACERS MIGHT WIN BUT NOT BECAUSE OF JERMAINE OR TINSLEY EVER.

I like how these naive posters seem to think we can just run down to the corner store and pick up a Reggie Miller or Michael Jordan. True "leader" guards don't come around very often. It's funny that fans of other cities all want Jermaine and Garnett, but the people in those cities don't seem to appreciate them. Jermaine is just trying to take the reigns here because he is an elder statesman with this team.
I wish all of these pathetic haters would just shutup and watch the games. Jermaine is a big part of our team and I predict a nice finish to the regular season with the new guys. Troy Murphy and JO look great together. My only beef with our roster is Tinsley. Sometimes he seems to think he is a shooter...and it drives me nutz to look at the box score and see that Tinsley shot 3-18 from the floor. That should NEVER HAPPEN.

In all these years of watching and celebrating Pacers basketball, I have never seen a player we had play like JO does. He understand and appreciates our team history. He loves the original soufull spirit the Pacers rolled with, and he appreciates Reggie's accomplishments here in Indy. A couple years ago he was asked to assume the burden of the teams spotlight to make up the difference for an icon leaving the team - what did he do? He stepped up with everything he had.

I don't normally wear my heart on my sleeve, but when it comes to what this young man has done for this franchise, I feel like I've got an axe to grind. JO's the man in my book. What did he get tonight? 7 assists?

C'mon people, weigh this stuff out using weightable metrics!
