I can't believe you wrote that Granger thinks offense first and then defense. That has never been true of his game since he's been in the league. He's described as Pippen-like primarily because of his defensive play and potential with his long arms and size and quickness.
In fact, as recently as the end of last season, he seemed tentative with his shot and mostly content to play defense and rebound.
I am glad he is wiling to take a more active role in the offense this year. I have not noticed a drop-off in his defensive intensity. I think perhaps you and Carlisle are just trying to light a fire under him.

I'm not a firm advocate of criticism. Unless it's constructive. And criticism can also be directed toward the management and coaching staff. You...my friend. Note : Criticize a player when he's loosing or not playing well, he drops his head and pouts, and thinks your picking on him. Criticize a player when he's winning and contributing, he listens and takes it to heart. To get a point across, talk to a guy when he's playing well. I'm no professional, but I've known this all my life. Something to think about Mr. Carlisle. (You might notice, your winning now. So I can tell you this without you pouting about it.)
