As soon as his contract with Miami is up DWade will be back. Then he will have decent players around him.

Why blame Wade? Pat Riley could have sat him last season and told him to get the surgery thing over. Instead he brought him back for Miami's play-off run (remember that?) and put it off.
Riley blew this season.

Beasley or Rose? I would take either but I believe Beasley will best help the HEAT.

Funny how people remember Wade being dominant against the hornets. A series that went the full five games cuz Miami couldn't win on the road and with 2 or 3 home games coming down to wade making miraculous game winner. That hornets team was 41-41 miami 42-40 and the weak east. Those were the 4 and 5 seeds.

Get your chit together. You don't want to see that Wade can score but he doesn't up the game of teammates. In the last 3 season without shaq Miami has been below .500

Wade still was in the top 5 in scoring, right? Sure, his efficiency was diminished, but what do you expect with the teammates he's playing with.

Next year, he'll have a top-notch veteran (Marion, Elton Brand or Gilbert Arenas) and a Blue-Chip rookie (Beasely or Rose) to team up with.

If all goes as I expect it will, the Heat will be at top 4 seed in the East in 2009.

Kobe's star had vanished a bit in 05 in his first year without Shaq when his team lost 16 out of 18 and finishd with only 30 wins in route to the lottery...... AND HE HAD CARON BUTLER AND LAMAR oDOM WITH Him THE wHoLE YEAR!

AND KOBE was A YEAR oLdER AT THE TIME THAN DWYANE IS, AND was only coming off of a MINOR knee injury (DWYANES WAs/IS MAJOR)......

Kobe averaged 26 ppg to Dwyanes 25, and Kobe also had a career worse in shooting pct (43%) and turnovers (4.1 a game), and PER (23.1), Dwyane was 46%, 4.3 a game, and 22.3.........

TMac's star faded in 03-04 when his team started the season 1-19 and ended up with the worst record in the league (And got Dwight Howard out of it) and TMac put up career worse numbers at the same age of 25 years old.

So yeah, of COURSE D-Wades star has faded. He had a bad year for him statistically and his team was terrible........ MOSTLY BECAUSE HE WAS INJURED/COMING OFF OF INJURY!

People forget that just last year Wade carried this team WITHOUT SHAQ to a .500 record and had THE HIGHEST PER IN THE NBA!!!!...... and then he got injured.

So we can all clear as day see that Wade had trouble this year (BIGGEST TELLTALE STAT: Number of dunks.... last year in 51 games he had 122 dunks, this year in 51 games he only had 19!!!)......

Wade was NOWHERE NEAR the player that he was pre-injury as the special talent and great young player that we saw in 04, 05, 06, and especially 06-07 (AND MOST ESPECIALLY THe 04, 05, and MOSTEST especially 06 PLAYOFFS!!!)......

BUT! His star can come back and should come back brighter than ever next year. BECAUSE: The injury he has/had should be gotten past by the start of next season, and he is only just turned 26 years old and should be entering his prime a year or two from now..... which means he should conceivably be better than ever by then.

Wade is a great young player, key word being YOUNG, and his injury is one that you can get past it just took time, so next year the star will be brighter than ever. Dont worry about that.

And just think, once Riley gets Elton Brand he and us will REALLY be on a roll!!!! LoL (ONE CAN PRAY!).

Really though, Wade will be fine, all signs point to that for this great young player by next season (I HOPE HE DOESNT MAKE THE OLYMPIC TEAM..... that rest is crucial to get over the condition he has, he'll get over it either way because 3 months is all thats needed but 6 would be better, know what I mean? PLUS it would motivate the hell out of him! Which is good for us heat fans.)

Wade and the Heat will be aight. We'll be seeing that fun to watch/special talent/great young player that we saw and loved in the 06 playoffs and 06-07 season in no time.

I would trade the number 1 pick in the draft AND Marion in return for Elton Brand.

Go out and sign James Jones (3 pt sharpshooter and lock defender thats a free agent this summer) to start at small forward, sign Eddie house (shooter for the bench), sign Desagana Diop (defender/banger center to team up with Zo as a center combo next to Brand in the frontcourt, also a free agent this summer) and trade JWill on sign/trade for a sharpshooting PG that doesnt turn the ball over (like Steve Blake, or Damon Jones).......

And then Im in business. Wade and Brand are a duo that you can build a championship contender around right off the rip, and Brand is only 28 and Wade is only 26 next season so the future is bright for quite a while on top of that.

James Jones/Dorrell Wright
Dwyane Wade/Cook
Banks/Eddie House
6th man: Dorrell Wright

Wade had a terrible season defensively.

But its funny how quickly people forget that Wade is a good defender.

Maybe you dont remember him making all-defense or making so many big defensive plays late in games especially in the playoffs and finals, and you forget him guarding the other teams best player down the stretch of games and doing a great job.

Wade has had a VERY GOOD defensive rating every year he's been in the league EXCEPT for this year.

Wade has great athleticism, length, b-ball iq, quickness, reflexes and will..... all the tools to be a good defender and has BEEN a good defender.

So yes, he had a bad year that showed defensively more than anything while fighting thru the knee injury.

And yes it was his first year with a bad d-rating.

Yes it was the worst D-rating of his career...

you know who else had the worst D-Rating of their career on a lottery team at age 26 when fighting back from a knee injury? Answer: Kobe Bryant, in 04-05.

Wade's d-rating was a terrible 110 this year but I BET ANYTHIng that when he's back to 100% health and pre-injury form next year (possibly even better than before after the motivation this year gave him and the fact that he's heading into his prime at 26 years old)....

I BET ANYTHING THAT NEXT YEAR when he is healthy again and back to normal D-Wade he will have a STELLAR/VERY GOOD d-rating of 101-103 once again, just as he did every year except for this one.
