The best time to fire Thomas is right after a win like this! THE HAS TOO MUCH CONFIDENCE IN HIS JOB SECURITY!

Did Isiah not get the memo? No way he's coming back, right? Right?

BTW, do you guys have a copy editor? See the sixth graf.

Dolan and Isiah have continually managed to disappoint fans who really know what's going on. I wouldn't be surprised if Isiah did stick around- it'll be a tragedy of huge proportions. If Kiki did somehow come aboard, it would be blessing in disguise. I'll be impressed if they blew out a healthy Lakers team, but then the standard is set so low.

"Thomas is well aware that the end of his term as team president likely is coming to an end after this season"

Isiah will be president and head coach of the NYK the next three seasons.. These NYK sportswriters speculations are just careless dreams and wishful thinking....
JD wont pay millions to another high-profile personnel that's non-proven. Just making things worse than it is..

Trust me, Isiah will be back next season. Yes...he will. I think we are going to get ride of zach for a low scoring shot blocker and a point guard.

He spews this optimistic nonsense after every win (even after beating an undermanned and just-as-awful Bobcats team)- his rosy comments are directed at Dolan. The funny thing is, like after the last win, the team will get blitzed in Atlanta and Orlando, then get absolutely spanked by Chris Paul and the Hornets. After that comes Cleveland, Detroit and Portland - more ugly losses - maybe they take one of the next six.

It's almost worse when the team wins, because Thomas starts spewing false optimism - we Knick fans know better.

What is the problem with the Newsday sports department in regard to the Nets? You guys spend an awful lot of time on a useless franchise which is going no where, the Knicks, and you ignore one that continually makes good decisions and puts a credible team on the floor year after year, the Nets.

I realize that Newsday was upset with the Nets for moving to New Jersey, but that was many years ago. Similar circumstances don't seem to stop you from covering the Jersey Giants or the Jersey Jets.

What exactly is it about the Nets that is so bad that you refuse to cover them at all? I noticed that you briefly had them listed with a link on your web site two years ago, but you didn't really change your lack of coverage.

You never know. If you treated them a little better, they might come back out to Long Island if the Brooklyn thing turns into a debacle.
