Magic fall to slumping Pistons

The Orlando Magic had everything seemingly in their favor. They were playing at home, and the other team was on its longest losing streak in 14 years and playing without its best-known star. Full Story

Jon Barry said it all tonight. I'm so sick of this team and losing to DET, it's BS. They need to change how they play or we aren't going to do anything in the playoffs. We are watching this team fall apart in front of our very eyes. DET was on a losing streak and they snap out of it, granted Rip being back in the starting lineup didn’t help. But WTF MAN. Stop shooting so many GD 3’s… You don’t win playoff games that way. Where the f-#-c-k has Rashard been, what a f@#king over paid jump shooter. I hope to god that we do a sign and trade for Boozer with Rashard. He is fucking worthless. Then we could pay Hedo and Boozer.

SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT
SICK OF IT

Stan needs to adjust the line ups against teams like DET. Put Battie back in the starting lineup and bring Hedo off the bench about half way through the quarter. How gives a s-h-!-t about how the players feel.

GET IT TOGETHER MAGIC!!

Man I am so disgusted with Rashard Lewis. He is the most overpaid guy in the NBA. As soon as Jameer got hurt that guy cashed in his chips.

Can we please trade this guy for a player that will find a way to help his team?

The Magic are a gutless team that plays without and intensity or toughness. All a team has to do is play physical and the Magic crumble. They will be going no where if the postseason.

I know the Magic didn't play nearly to the level that they should of, but honestly gimme a break. How many Magic players had to get elbows to the gut, or hands in their face before they'd get a call. Not saying that it would of changed the outcome, but seriously, this is the NBA not the WWE.

Tonight the National Intimidators Association defeated the NBA's elite of the mediocres -- the Orlando Magic.

Urgh, what the hell was that?
Are we the east coast version of the Suns? High scoring but can't beat the elite teams when they slow it down?

Dwight didnt play defense. Sure it says 7-12 in his FG%, but all his misses came in the end of the game when they needed it and doesnt account for his TO's. I dont know what they can do offensively but I can say they cant go to Dwight offensively in critical parts, and when his defense isnt on a high level like tonight, hes not much of a force. Perhaps they can try post ups with Lewis more often, Im not seeing anything from him lately and develop some plays when Dwight will intentionally fake interest to score and pass out to specific spots, where they can shoot or do a even better pick and roll. I take this loss and the more recent loss to boston with nelson in the lineup as my signs that magic are not going to be title contenders this season.

Magic fans..just like your GM..your team is a joke...Great job giving Rashard Lewis $100 Millin dollars and that Peitrus signing is great..huh? You have a $100 Million dollar 6'10 player who thinks he is Dennis Scott and a fairy princess who gets hurt if he breaks a nail and thinks he is Michal Jordon.

I hope Magic fans enjoyed having their rear ends handed to them in a silver platter with a fork, knife, and napkin courtesy of DEEEEEETRRRROIITT BASSSKEETBALLLL!!!

8 game losing streak and who do they beat to end the skid? The Heartless Magic!!!! Why do we seem to dominate every team they lose against and no beta this sorry behind team? No heart, no hustle, no post player outside Dwight- just pretenders shooting jump shots all night!!! Sad to say the same results as last year: Out maybe first, definitely out second and we better not run into Detroit.

They should've made this "Magic Free Florida.com " week... how pathetic... No Guts, No b@lls, No Nothing. I really thought in the first half of the season that we had a chance. Now, we are back to being the laughing stock of the NBA.

This team really is pissing me off right now. Dwight is the only one you can count on night in and night out. Rashard Lewis is a 110 million dollar joke right now. Even Hedo has become undependable.

Courtney Lee and Dwight Howard are the only two guys that give 100% right now.

WOW!!! Everything I said in the previous blog came true! Tonight is a major victory for all the pessimistic magic fans. No matter how you brand or call this team, be it elite or the 3rd best team in the East or one of the best defensive teams or whatever, the naked truth about this Magic team has finally exposed itself to quell all the hype surrounding it. The bandwagon just fell off the cliff. No more playoff run and please take off those little championship trophy stickers you put on those lockers Otis Smith. Your $118M-dollar "man" did not man up once again.

The Magic are gutless cowards, getting elbowed and pushed around like freshmen in HS. ha ha I saw more Magic players go down and cry tonight than I see players on both sides of a rugby match..

Orlando needs to get tough! There is no way that they will make it past teams like Boston, or Detroit because those teams have tough players. Orlando has players with finesse that's all they are! Tough players will beat them most all the time! It's not Van Gundy's fault either!

now we have to listen to jim say he called it and we heard it here first folks...

if the refs are going to let the pistons play abusiveball, then the magic need to throw in some cheap shots once in a while and give them a taste of their own medicine. they know their problem of being soft against them, why don't they at least try to play dirty like they do? On a positive note, it was good to see skip score and be a little pest.

Rashard is as soft as a pillow. no 'D' and collapses when players get physical with him.
Too bad we are stuck with the guy cause no team will take him with that salary.
I really hope we play Detroit in the 1st round cause if we cant get thru them then we dont deserve to be in the 2nd round.
I am ashamed to be a Magic fan today.

Magic can't run and can't hide from Detroit. That's the plain truth.

**** Detroit. That was a perfect storm of things that told me before the game started that the magic would lose. AI not playin really helped the pistons. They play better without him, those were the same guys that knocked us out of the playoffs. Plus an 8 game losing streak comin to play us, you knew they would show up.

"and please take off those little championship trophy stickers you put on those lockers Otis Smith. Your $118M-dollar "man" did not man up once again. "

Thank you, Thank You, Thank You!!! The lack of sports knowledge in this town is aparent with all the "Otis Smith Lovers"...I am glad finally some fans that have an IQ know that Otis Smith did not build this team as a contender he built them as a glass managerie..And this brilliant Aslton trade?? Real Brilliant the Magic look just as bad as they did with Lue and Johnson.

You want to see a "briliantly" buit team? Look at LA who lost Bynum, and a couple other players this season, look at the Celtics, who alrady dominating the league lose garnett, and still dominate..oh and make 2 huge pickups in marbury and Moore.

Cleaveland has lost mo Williams at times this season, among other players and they are sparkling..

Rasard Lewis?? He maybe the worse signing in all of sports..This Magic team was playing way above its head anyway in the first half. Its time for Orlando Sports fans to get an education ...

Rashard Lewis is worthless.

Hedo Turkeyglue not dependable.

Trade those two fools for some real ballers that will deliver night in and night out.

This team is disgusting they way they lay down for the Pistons every time they play them. I am so pissed right now I could spit. Bunch of scrubs!!!!!!
