Hey Jim, Sam Cassell is talking about a buyout from the Clippers. You think "Mr. Potato Head" would be a good fit for the Magic for the rest of the season?
I would have to say no on this one. The dude is way past his prime. And besides that I think if anything he will wind up in Boston to get back with Kevin Garnett. He would be good in terms of leadership. And also he is 6ft 3 which is a plus. But over all I think the Magic have a pretty good rotation going right now. What do you think ?

Business meetings all day today. Glad they won. Isn't it nice to have a team that scores 102 points and the Sentinel reports that we were in a slumber. Wonder how many points it takes to be awake??

I'd say he'd be a good fit, but its not happening. Cassell is looking to win a championship NOW, meaning that the only eastern conference team he'd go to is Boston, otherwise he'd go somewhere in the west. Would have said Houston was a possibility, but I doubt that now. And Phoenix, San Antonio, and Dallas all have point guards, but he could still go to one of those 3 and come off the bench.

As for tonight's game, I didn't see it but it seems like Hedo saved us once again!

Yeah, I agree, the leadership part makes sense, but you're right, he's past his prime. Tonight Jameer played okay, 5 assists and no turnovers, but his shot's not falling. Keyon played well and was a spark off the bench. His good play kept him in the game during the 4th quarter and kept Jameer on the bench. I like the way SVG stays with the hot hand.

I saw today that the Mavericks signed Migloire.

Just to further illustrate my point about playing good defense: The Magic in 5 of their last 6 games have given up less than 100 points. They have won all 5 of those games by an average of almost 15 points. All 5 victories have been double digit wins. The only loss was the 127-110 blowout to the Raptors. In those 5 games they are scoring an average of 108.2 points per game while giving up only 93.4 points per game.
If they can continue with this kind of solid defense the rest of the way then they should be able to accumulate a lot of wins with the soft remaining schedule.

Yes I think Cassell will wind up with the Celtics like I stated earlier. He wants another ring. Plus he will be reunited with Kevin Garnett.

Love to chat with you Jim but I have to find a new location for my school for the fall. We have outgrown the facilities we have now. So the next several weeks I may not be around much until I find a location. Besides as long as the Magic win the Anti-Magic crowd runs and hide. The cant stand the positive vibes going on here. Luke from Kissimmee still hasnt shown his face since his famous Magic will lose the lead to the Wizards by All Star break.

Nine games up on Washington. Four over Cleveland and Toronto, and yeah, the haters have run away. GO MAGIC!

Good luck with the business/location part of running a school. I find it quite enough just keeping up with the grading, teaching, mentoring, sponsoring clubs, and all of the usual teacher stuff.

JIM :)) JOHNCENAWWE "read" you very well and the fact you are a CLOWN.I can see a huge improvement in your health, because of the prozac and everybody on this site is happy for you.keep on the prozac dose and increase it when you feel like it :))
I can see that you "faked" the post of JOHNCENAWWE, but everybody realised that.Anyway from what i read in time with this dispute, JOHNCENAWWE destroyed you.Still your turnaround of 180C is amazing.Congratulations !

I'm the other Luke!

Luke from Kissimmee showed his face some days ago to put some critics about Otis not doing any trade before deadline, but the results are making him shut up.

I'm waiting for him to declare that Orlando will not pass the first round of playoff...

Who was the idiot that swore up and down that the Magic were going to start losing and miss the playoffs?

Oh well, this win was good, but not good enough to bring in the human victory cigar, JJ Reddick :-)
