It's obviously the most interesting home-opener in years given that we now have Derrick Rose. I suspect Skiles will try to double team and force the ball out of his hands, as the team was running basic sets in the pre-season.

How DelNegro and company prepare for these nights will be interesting. Another thing, why doesn't he know who his center is yet?

Welp, the biggest interest will be who goes and who stays. who can play with the kid and who can't. but whatever happens, my guess is paxson does nothing. and once the dust settles, vinnie will quit, and the gm will be gone too. then bill cartwright takes over and starts the re-building process again.

Wow, suddenly a 100% positive article about the No. 1 pick. It almost makes me forget that we passed on the top scorer Beasely. If Rose is as quick and sensational as all this, what's going to keep us from winning? He should be able to find an open Deng, or an easy alley-oop to Noah, Thomas (who they say has a shot now) or Gray, who doesn't jump but seemed pretty competent last year between slashing and driving through the lane, no? What's to stop us from achieving 40 wins?
I'm not thinking past that. This is not going to be a Tampa Bay Rays froom last to first year obviously, but
40 wins? If the guy can stay healthy, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Problem that I've seen with the bulls is Rose dishes off to another Bull (Deng, Hinrich, Nocioni) and what happens? a shot and a miss. dishes off to the Joker and what happens? A turnover. Meanwhile Capt Kirk pouts because of lack of playing time. Gordon the gunner is a goner. Give me the Ball Larry Hughes shoots more than he passes. Tyrus regresses. Its Romper Room. Welcome back fans.

i love the guy. yes beez is way more overall talented but he's not the guy the bulls need right now. besides, he's already been fined and in trouble with the league. seriously, do we want another tank johnson in chitown? the bulls are young(and some are stupid) and need a leader. the guy presents the chance at being a star and regardless if he has 7 TO's in a game...he still represents the only star the bulls have had since that jordan dude. the biggest thing is...they should finally have a scorer at the end of games so the transition of trading Gordon in january should be a smooth one. thats if his poor wittle toe is ok by then. hope all the naysayers don't break a leg trying to jump back on the bandwagon in the coming months when this team displays the qualities of a great chemistry T E A M that they showed 2 years ago...

Predictions:

1. This team will struggle for the first month of the season.
2. The Bulls will progress in December as Vinnie figures out a rotation and guys get use to playing with D Rose.
3. Paxson will man up and make a deal that will bring in a consistent low post scorer(let us pray).
4. The Bulls edge out Washington Wizards for the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference.
5. Derrick Rose wins Rookie of the Year over Greg Oden, and O.J. Mayo!!!

Keep dreaming Bulls fans. Paxson will do nothing 2 improve this team. He does NOT have the skill set of an accomplished GM in the NBA.

Honestly I think Beasley will struggle being a third option behind Wade and Marion! I actually have him coming in 5th. Watch out for Brandon Rush, Brook Lopez, or Darrell Arthur to come in 4th in the R.O.Y. voting!

Danny Ainge showed us in Boston NOTHING until his former teammate gave him the best deal in the league. Hopefully Kerr, as a former Bull can do the same by giving the Bulls Stoudamire!(He's already made the team worse trading for Shaq).

Aside from that, ESPN has Rose #7 on it's list of Rookies for this season and ODEN is the guy they are hyping more than anyone. I haven't heard that much about Rose on ESPN or the Bulls chances for that matter. Which, after hyping the Cubs going to the WS, I'd much rather have the Bulls over-perform and enjoy the season than not enjoy the season based on too great expectations.

Bulls' fans, I've watched a number of Derrick Rose's games on TV, dating back to when he won a pair of Chicago Public League titles & IHSA "AA" Championships for Simeon High School. You will immediately embrace this young man's game from the getgo, regardless of how good or bad the Bulls are this season. The sky is the limit for the young man wearing #1 in white, red & black.
