I just hope he still gets to play in the rotation when Riley returns.

Be nice if he could win the 3pt contest

I hope Wade didn't mean "goofball' in a condescending manner. That really isn't a good thing to be calling yer team mate.

Hey! Jason is ballin'. He is awesome to watch!! I agree with 'Ocala Heat Fan', I really hope he still gets to play in the rotation when Riley returns. He will definitely be needed during the playoffs and when they need a three point shooter to come in and make things happen.

I'd suggest that if he wants to remain in the rotation it's up to him, defense is all about desire, we know he can shoot, now all he has to do is give more effort on defense, assuming of course that the extra exertion doesn't mess up his stroke.

The heat need the three -point shooter badly ...

Lets hope Riley doesn't start playing walker and posey more.

Makes you wonder how good that other kid would be if Riely would give him another chance.

What a great story...Without him in the lineup

Heat would not be a 500 team now.

Bring back the trophy, it will make

u a household name in America

Hey, I hate goofballs. If one was signed to my team, I'd ask to be traded!

Another great story Dave. Big fan of Kapono, unlike Antoine Walker who is going thru the motions riding out his 8+ Million/year contract. Kapono is working hard to prove himself and stay in the starting rotation. My favorite thing at a Heat Game is hearing the PA announcer say...

Jason...KAPONO...THREEEEE!!!!. ...From D-WADE!!!

And of course: SHAQUILLLLE...O'NNEALLLL...(Tr uck Horn Blast)...From D-WADE!!!

I 100% agree. That man can stroke it. But it doesn't surprise me because as a true heat fan who watches games in their entirety u would have noticed during "mop up time" that kapono had a smooth shot and all it took was a chance and he never looked back.

Kapono was tearing it up in his days at UCLA. Now, the same thing is starting to happen now. Maybe this will keep Walker on the bench for good. We still need Posey though. I don't think we could have won it all last year without his defense (taking charges, rattling opponents). Trade Walker and Williams (unless he starts producing asap) for a PG.

Watch for the crazy run the heat go on after the All-Star break! Jason Kapono and Eddie Jones will drop 3s on our opponents like rain drops. It is nice to have Eddie Jones back! he can doso much during a game. And with Kaponocoming on we willbe able to shoot it out with some of these 3 point shooting teams.

With Kapono in the line-up the heat win. End of discussion.

He opens up lanes for Wade and Wade opens it up for him.

A little before the all-star break I once calculated that when Kapono played less than fifteen minutes a game, the Heat were three wins and six losses.

When he played over 30 minutes a game it was something like 13 wins and 9 losses.

You can bad mouth him all you want. All his presence does is produce wins.

Of course, I suppose to some people that doesn't matter.
