It was a good game the Heat should have won. yeah numbers this and yadda yadda,...bottom line: If not for a block that went the other way instead of a rebound, the Heat would have won. And if there's one thing any Heat fan should know..is that in a series, when this team figures the other team out, they mostly win. Well....it was clear to me in the second half, they figured the Bulls out. No worries..Bulls are going DOWN!

The referee's calls sucked! They looked like a bunch of high school refs with all the missed calls but it seemed to even out pretty much over the game. Shaq got screwed a couple of times but so did Hinrich. I thought the difference was Luol Deng. The heat didn't have enough athletes on the floor and the Bulls had five at all times. I say put Dorel Wright on Deng. Remember last year when Wright contributed some great defensive games. I think D.Wright could wipe that grin off Deng's face and make him sweat like a Sudan camel. Get the Bulls down by 10 and watch them start heaving bombs. But we also got to get more rebounds. The heat big guys looked like their feet were stuck in mud. Think less power and more finesse, guys.
I know some people are saying the heat are done but I think the only time they ever show up is when their backs are against the wall. Go Heat!

IF IT WASN'T FOR DEFENSE THESE OLD FARTS WOULD'VE BE BLOWN OUT. SOMEHOW WALKER DID A DECENT JOB FINDING THE BASKET, UDONIS HASNONE,EDDIE JONES,AND THE REST OF THE SCHLEPS DECIDED THEY COULD EITHER PLAY DEFENSE OR OFFENSE BUT NOT BOTH. SOME REAL PATHETIC SHOOTING. I GUESS GUARDING THE FASTER,YOUNGER BULLS WORE THEM OUT TRYING TO DEFEND THEM. EVERY TIME THE BULLS SHOT BAD, THE HEAT WOULD TOO! THAT'S NOT CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY, THAT'S THE WAY THEY'VE BEEN PLAYING ALL YEAR LIKE OLD FARTS!

If it's over and you know it clap your hands, clap! clap! Let's face it, what won the heat with the old farts the championship last year was their will to get their first championship. Unless one team has a totally dominating team (which the heat do not) in the NBA, they're most likely not going to have the drive to win back to back championships. It's called human nature. When they obtained what they wanted already, they most likely won't have the same desire for the same thing again. Very simple.

Deng scored 33? Miami needs to turn this into a defensive series. get mourning on the floor, give some hard fouls. Next game I want to see 72-72 with DW bringing the ball across half court with 18 seconds to go.

The Heat lost one game on the road. It is NOT out. Neither will it be until another team takes four games off them.

Lets wait to see if/when it happens before rubbishing the season? OK!

We should be concentrating on building for the future. Wade is still young and we need to surround him with good YOUNG talent.

it's amazing that the heat can play so bad and still almost win. the only way the bulls will win is if the heat have injuries.

It seems like the heat fans are looking and hoping for something to have hope for..... sure Deng had 33 but Hinrich who usually averages about 17 points a game only had 2 points..... so that shows great team balance....when someone doesn't perform well, others step their game up..... and not to mention the sloppy play of the bulls and many many missed wide open shots....we all know the heat should have gotten blown out.....and to touch on the bad calls.... every call was justified on replay...... so stop whining its only game one..... the bulls played bad too and still won..... stop asking for what you dont want and thats a defensive series, because the bulls have the better defense in the series...... im just being a realest.... I dont expect the heat to lay down by the slightest bit but look at the stats.... I believ shaq and d wade had 17 points each at the half and still were losing at the half...... shaq ended the game with 19, wade ended with 21, walker had 20, haslem had 11, so the heat didnt do all that terrible..... this will be a good series and the heat have met their match thats all.....

One hard foul from the Heat means the playing injured D.Wade is going to be on the receiving end of multiple shoulder hits and hard fouls himself if this series goes physical, something I think his teammates would like to avoid as he's one hard shot away from sitting out for a long time.
Truth be told both of these teams played like crap yesterday and both limped into the playoffs. It was an ugly game and I'm sure it'll be an ugly series. One of these teams better turn things around quick and start playing like a playoff contender instead of the mess I watched last night or next round Detroit is going to just hammer them.
I'm glad to see Antoine Walker getting some good minutes. He was knocking down alot of big 3's which Chicago wasn't really able to do yesterday. I'm also glad to see Nocioni for the Bulls return for 30 minutes of play and getting in some 3's and some big free throws in the end. Would've been interesting to see how these two teams might've ended the year if Wade and Nocioni were able to stay healthy to the end. Miami would most likely be hosting the Orlando Magic right now.
Hard to believe Kirk Hinrick had a 2-pt night and the Bulls beat the Heat though !?! Game 2 is big for the Heat and how they respond will tell us if they are serious about this series

Wow!!!! All I have seen the past few days from the media and fans in this town is how they are worried the Heat are going to loose, and they look so bad, and blah blah blah.....Stop it already. They lost game 1 of a series to the homecourt team.....it happens.
As a die hard Heat fan I am in no way, shape, or form worried. The Heat simply did not play well, and the Bulls had thee players put up career highs.....yes CAREER HIGHS. That being said the Heat hung in there after being down double digits late in the game and if it wasnt for a lucky bounce of the ball they probrally would have won that game......the heart of a champion? Most definately.
It will be a tough series for the Heat no question, but when a team has three players put up CAREER HIGHS and you barely win the game.....If I was a Bulls fan, I would be a little worried.

The heat will win the series. We should of won but when you have refs officiating for one team and not the other then it will be difficult. The Heat will win the series and then the finals.
whining is the first step

to acceptance. They will soon accept the fact that the bulls are better. It takes time to sink in, but just give them 3 or 4 more games.
refs suck

Well once again the refs really know how to screw someone over in a situation like this.. Miami could have won that game. Shaq should have never been called for a defensive foul that was an offensive foul by Nocioni. Shaq gets called for a technical for sitting on the bench. DWade's bucket should have counted and YES it was goal tend. EJ was fouled MANY times. And yet the game was only within 5 points. What does this tell you? Hopefully next game will be a fair game.
