The Heat wasted the moment and muted the milestone. In the end, it was another night to forget, something that is becoming a trend. Read more

Well you can't say,i didn't tell all you people, over and over that these old farts can't beat a Drum! They're atrocias!
Not exactly a Championship team. Getting blown out in embarrassing fashion. They kept too many bad players around that can't play anymore.
Wade, don't come back this year, your wasting your time with these schleps.
Wait till next year and don't report untill they dump the garbage.

No, the sad reality is that they CAN beat a Drum. They have the ability and the potential, they've just squandered it in these sorry losses. I think that's in some ways worse than just being a lousy team...

the heat forgot how to when without wade. with defense, we have to keep games in the 80's. and on the offensive end work the ball through shaq and stop shooting all them 3's

Another embarassment for a bunch of overpaid jokers. This team will get bounced in the 1st round, Wade or no Wade. Absolutely pathetic.

Well

The silver lining is that still no wade or kapono and they still have a 6th seed.

The bad news is that although wade is the ace and ill think he will come back strong and therefore the heat team we are seeing now is not the team we will see in the playoffs, you get worried in that we hear all about this playoff positioning going on - but besides home court - cleveland, toronto, detroit, wash ington, chicago, and orlando would all give the heat fits in a playoff matchup (including the first round). I dont know how much home court would help.

So - i say again - if someone told me the heat have to face detroit in the first round, my attitude wouldnt be to jump off a bridge. It would be - fine - just another team that will give us fits. It wouldnt be - oh my god, we blew the regular season and this is our penalty - having to face detroit. I just dont think the HEat have the type of team where you can say - wow, we have to get the number 2 seed so we dont fact detroit until the conference finals. Even with Wade, this is going to be a very rough ride.

Watching that game last night - you can add Toronto to the teams I would rather not face in the first round. I would want nothing to do with chicago or lebron either or orlando. Then it comes down to Washington - who if their offense gets going - is trouble.

SO - pick your poison. I guess I would want to face NJ or Washington in the first round - but that is best case scenario.

How many games do we need to drop to hit the 8th seed and face detroit? It would wake the heat up in a hurry - that is for sure

The Heat after a trouncing always moans that they should have, could have and would have. Same old samo. They look awful. Can't run. Last night Jim Berry said walker looked like he was shooting on a ship when the winds was stong.

Walker has been the anchor dragging this team down....since wade and kapono have gone down, everyone else has stepped up except for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat get bounced in the 2nd Round.

I have all the faith that the HEAT will be able to do it again this year - it will take hard work but they will do it!!!

I will never understand how professional players can forget that they aren't playing HORSE. When Superman's not in the game they've got to break down defenses by moving the ball. You get one defensive player out of position and another has to cover him which puts him out of position. It ain't rocket science. If they were gambling in a Casino, they would be the kind of gamblers that bet double or nothing every hand.... another way of saying "Losers". I think they are getting lazy when they start heaving 3's. We gotta get some younger talent.

Hey dude,i'm not a Nick fan,ok? But listen, they got all they could out of these schleps last year and they should have relized it. They needed to start retooling the roster like the Dolphins are finally are doing. They're paying the consequences and i'm pissed off as a fan that sat on there ass and did no improving. Then they try & kill Wade by over using the dude. Hyperdude wrote he was going to end up in a wheel chair and he did. He was taking way too many chances and punishment for these schleps who more or less have been riding his coatails.
I like Wade, he's a super player, with him out it exposes who sucks and your seeing that now.
They will not make the playoffs unless Wade comes back,he shouldn't. After the year is over go back over each game if your memory is poor and see for yourself who's good & who's not.
Hopefully, they'll correct what they should have done this year, next year and we'll start to develope a winning team for the future.

I agree with Shaq....too many 3 point shots...I'm looking at you, Antoine Walker......

Heat, please get rid of Antoine...

Dwyane, I wouldn't even bother this year...get your surgery and wait until next year, maybe some of the dead weight will be gone, hopefully.

Someone please help me understand! Why in the H---- would you continue to shot threes when you can't make them? What I see in the teams of today is they don't have the same hunger for greatness. I am also a Laker fan, and when I look back on the teams of Magic, Bird and Jordan those teams hated to lose. They wanted to kick other teams behinds. Today they want to get by. These last five or six games have been a total embarrassment. Not because they lost but the way they lost and who they lost to.

I've been saying it ever since they lost to Orlando a few games ago. Too many 3's. When they had that 9 game winning streak, they shared the ball well and didn't force anything.

2 years ago they brought all these old guys to get to the finals and they did right, now it's a bumpy ride and everybody dogs them. give them a chance and see what happens, we'r going to the playoffs no matter what. i agree walker, stupid ass payton and williams need to retire or get kicked out but for now we have to deal with them.
Give them a chance? Are you kidding me? How far into the season are we dude?
This isn't a bumpy ride, this is post mortem after winning a championship. Have you been watching any other teams play, like in the West? Even the pistons who are getting old don't get blown out by crappy teams. This is total embarrassment, blown out by the Bulls in thier first game! 33-9 in the first quarter against lowly Indiana? Come on UF could have done better than that in the 1st quarter. This is downright disgusting. If you think this is a mirage, you need a giant "GET REAL" pill.
The best way to convince you ,is just watch the rest of the games and then you'll see what i'm saying.

I am a true Miami Heat fan and I made it my personal business to go see my team play the Toronto Raptors in person. I agree with Shaq's comments 100%. These heat players shot too many 3's. They forget about Shaq in the middle and continue to fire up unsuccessful three pointers. These guys have been playing basketball long enough to understand that when you outside shot is not falling at all, pass the ball inside or go to the hole yourself. I also expereince live that they were horrible defending the 3 point premieter shooters from Toronto. I love Miami Heat but if they don't wake up and smell the coffee, especially when their outside shots are not falling, pound the ball inside or drive to the hole, they will continue to lose. Please, I am pleading with you guys to please, please, please listen to your teammate, Shaq The Deisel and STOP SHOOTING 3 POINTERS, when your shot is off. Thanks.
