Well...first the fans didn't run Shaq out of town the front office did by waiting to give Shaq the BIG extension he deserved. Second the Magic WILL WIN tonight easily. They know they must win or they face a even harder road to the finals. They must prove to themselves and the rest of the conference they are for real. Lewis will show again why he was paid the max and Howard will again have a 20-20 night. J.J will actually get some playing time and give us a nice shot in the arm with 12 points. Wow I don't know where that last one came from. Anyways... Stan will get these guys playing and win the game by Hmmm lets say atleast 15.. Yes a BLOWOUT!!! Put the Raptors on there butts early and let Howard loose in the paint. Trust me on to round two and David Whitley, I have your dog and I already have offers from 3 local chinese food restaurants. LOL!!

David Whitley, all the sarcasm in the world doesn't change the fact that you are a douche bag! You single handedly ruin the sports Department everytime you contribute. Please resign your posistion and go back to stocking the shelves at Publix ... you were better at that!

Based on the last three games of this series, this one will be no walk in the park for the Magic. Toronto will play us hard hoping to get this back to a game six in their building. The best we can do is to try and get out to a big lead early and let the crowd get behid the team and push them through the 4th. You know Toronto will make a run, but a big lead early will help us sustain. I think we can win a tight 4th quarter, we have twice now, but neither team has shown the ability to get behind big, then come from behind to win. So, let's go Magic, we need a big first half!

Why when the Magic are playing well and have the city at least a little bit energize do you insist on the being negative. I would expect you to focus on the postive in order to avoid what you speak of, running the Magic out of town. How dare you, why dont you leave town, David

It is called sarcasm. This is actually a very good and clever column. It is not supposed to be "news". It is one man's opinion expresased in a way that intelligent people can understand. That seems to be the problem, since most posters on here are not intelligent.

If you fools don't want to jinx he team, how about just talking about the game. Don't talk about the what ifs.

I think that people are responding they way they are because this is one of the more important games for the Magic and a lot of people are on edge.
So in that train of thought it might have been better not to write this column. I have not noticed that you have many good sports writers in the Orlando paper.
The really good sports writer in your area is John Denton and I don't see him writing this kind of ..........
As I have said before I will repeat this one thing Magic in 5

I understand that, but it is still just a game and this is just a newspaper column. I have been a Magic fan from the beginning. I moved to Orlando the year before they started. Fans need to keep there sense of humor and keep things in perspective. Life goes on no matter how this series ends. Having said that, in my pool I have the Magic in 5 and I have them going all the way to the finals. I think they match up very well against the other teams and have the potential of doing something special in the playoffs. But if that doesn't happen, I am not going to cry and lose sleep over a basketball game.

You are so right about John Denton!! He knows more about the Magic that all of the Sentinel's team of crappy beat writers. I am not sure if this is supposed to be a funny and sarcastic article or what. I can't believe that "We" is included in the title. Who else would be inculded in the "We"?? Did this guy just write this article to start S hit? The beat writers need to be Magic fans!!

Correcting Dave, as memory serves, it wasn't just Tracy who jinxed the Magic in 1993, it was our very own Brian Schmitz who wrote (and I paraphrase, but only slightly) "The reason Detroit lost Game 4 was their pathetic offense. They couldn't hit Lake Michigan standing on the dock."

I think the Pistons might have posted that one on the bulletin board.

Our sportswriters always sound like teenage schoolboys when they write about the Magic. It's really annoying when you have a sports team capable of being a class act. Our puerile local journalism is why the Magic get no respect around the league. Sorry, no offense and all that, but ask yourself this -

Would you read this kind of piece in the Boston Globe or LA Times?

I think not.

For anybody who believes that Shaq was "run" out of town: During his TNT interview on the night he was drafted by the Magic he was asked what he thought about going to Orlando. The first sentence out of his mouth was "I've always dreamed of playing for the Lakers." He then realized what he had said and became politically correct after that.

I'm perplexed by your inability to say anything upbeat about your home team even if one does not beleive in your negative commentary, thoughts or opinions, we expect for you to shut up until after the playoffs. It's quite obvious that Orlando isn't a big city because they have small minded ball boys writing for the local paper! How easy was it for you to earn that degree. VERY!

I'm pretty much bored s-hi-t-le-ss with this NBA crap and only can hope the Magic do whatever and then trade JJ to a team that has a coach thats fair-minded this summer.
It will be much more fun to watch that team and his progress than this bunch of Journeymen players. Pray for that trade, Ya hearah!
I'm still of the mind that Boston & Lakers will play in the finals. It's just kind of a setup for the extra $bucks$ and to try to obtain more interest in the NBA. Like "the Good Old Days", so they think.
Also, it may not happen but... because of the revenue generated here & in Toronto it wont be a big surprise if this does go 7 games.
Lotsa $bucks$ to be made by both teams and believe me Orlando can use them $bucks$ LOL.
JUST Axt Dwight, Jameer & Lewis!
:)
Please trade JJ already so this a$$ will stop posting here.
