Good one Pat. Put all your effort on 1 player, end up losing the 1st,2nd, and 3rd option. Thank you for not being more aggressive this off season!

Canefan - Don't be pissed at Riley. Be upset at Bartelstein for dragging us along to make us thing we had a shot. He simply used the Heat as leverage to get the Becks to raise their offer. Besides, if Bartelstein was your agent and you wanted an extra $20 million over six years, you'd allow him to do his job for your benefit. Anybody that says otherwise is lying.

I would have loved to see Mo Williams in a Heat uniform next season. However, money is what typically calls the shots in this league. While he will get paid nicely, he'll be stuck in Milwaukee basketball hell with little chance to seriously advance past Detroit, Miami, Cleveland, Washington and a newly faced Orlando. So money is all he is really getting in this deal.

another one of the many average type players getting better than average paychecks this year. the whole mo williams fiasco with Miami was merely to entice Milwaukee into coughing up more money for this guy, who might even be a bust considering he had better numbers when nobody else played with him mattered due to injuries. i hope that this Barcelona trip for this point guard, Navarro, does not end up becoming another 1-2 week mo williams fiasco. we need a point guard and an SF stat, we need them to commit soooner and not a few weeks later.

shouldn't we be pissed at riley for putting us in this position against the cap? he the GM. We've got contracts we can't move because no one wants our garbage. we might as well sign francis and become the knicks.

Here's the option the Heat should have taken on draft day---get Taurean Green!!! Proven winner; never hurt; local kid---and the Heat has done great getting the most out of other local kids including Udonis and Keyon.

Do the smart thing for a change!

Mo Williams, please, if this guy is the answer to all the heats problems then we are really in a world of hurt. With a healthy Wade and fit Shaq I'll take my chances against any teame in the league. You wagon jumpers can bad mouth Riles all you want to, but he had us dancing on Biscayne blvd, how soon we forget. If my memory serves me correctly didn't we win a championship without Mo.

Pat is not aggressively trying to improve the Heat's roster. His hands are sort of tied due to the fact that he really doesn't have anything to work with. No money or players that anyone else wants. I just hope he can develop the young players that we have like he did with Vashon Lenard and Issac Austin. This coming season could be worst that the past season.

You're pissed because the Heat is over the salary cap? If you want to be under the salary cap, this is the company you keep:

Teams Below the Salary Cap ($53.1 million)

http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries.htm

New Jersey Nets
Chicago Bulls
Memphis Grizzlies
Milwaukee Bucks
Charlotte Bobcats

Sounds great, eh?

It's cool...He ain't even better than JW....and he certainly isn't worth 50 mil....Riley knows what he is doing ( though he coached like s*** last year). No one out there is worth giving all that money...so he's first option was JW getting healthy and second option was Dwayne Wade (Who became the star as a point guard first) and the third option was Quinn. Now, he may be looking at other options...but that's all that is...just options and just-in-cases....just in case the first three options don't work out. And I agree with him because there are none out there that's worth crying about. They need to get bigger at guard positions...oppositions were killing them at 1,2,3 spots. Everyone that played against Heat looked like allstars scoring 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 points every time. That's why I would rather have wade at point for at least half the time...because bigger shooting guards are scoring whole bunch against him. Of course he needs to take care of the ball better to play the point...but he can do it. Then, they need to find atheletic swingman that can play shooting guard and small forward who can defend, shoot and handle the ball...that is the real thing they need to find.

Bibby or francis and j-will off the bench, or j-will and quinn either way suck it up and deal with it, why do all the top free agents pass us up, the heat have more of a realistic shot to make the finals then the bucks, just shows you the character of this lazy dont wanna work slug sittin back and counting his extra millions he just stole. Why else would u wanna stay with a pretender instead of going to contender, who needs the fumblin bum anyway

Hey you should thank for Pat for bringing you an NBA Championship. When you look at it only about 5 or 6 teams are actually under the cap.

I'm disappointed with the Heat organization. Not because we didn't get Mo, but we've got nothing to show for this off-season. They waited too long to hear from one player. The other options are gone and we are back to where we were before; minus two small forwards; no point guard and another year older.

Report card for Riley: F.

All guards are gone by Monday. All small forwards also gone. As a result of all of that Alonzo won't play. Seems it is time for future hall of fame coach to follow Alonzo's steps. It is no plan A, B, C, D, etc. for next season....
Flash & Diesel should appreciate Mickey for that.
