after not improving any last year, if they don't add wallace or artest, at best they barely get to the second round in a good year. all the other good teams are looking to improve. What is miami thinking? they have done nothing (getting in allstar talent) in two full years....

This is what basketball is today, each team has 2 or more guys sitting out there waiting to be fed balls so they can take long range shots and they do nothing else. The 3-pointer as it was originally intended so that teams that were behind by a lot could perhaps catch up but the 3-pointer has taken over the game where you just do not see much inside game and REAL BASKETBALL PLAYS.

It is a horrendous prospect to pay that kind of money and invest all of that time (life is but a few ticks friends, spend it wisely) to see guys bombing shots a low percentages and when they are going bad the team just does not have a way to get back in the game. The rules of the game will get changed someday and the 3-point plays will only be allowed in the last 5 minutes of the game or the last quarter of the game. OTHERWISE, basketball in the NBA WILL be going the way of the NHL in popularity.

The game is not that exciting. Each game is a microcosm of the season. Only the last few moments of a game matter and only the last few days of the season matter, so much so that Super Undercover Cop & Dietician Shaq O'Neal has taken to only show up to play the last few weeks of each season.

I am curious as to who we sign that meets those requirements, I think this is just pat's way of preparing us for the lost of posey. We have to pay($) for the type of player he's speaking of or let the kids on our team play.

I find it interesting the Riley said he's glad "he didn't trade James Worthy" while he was injured. It was Jerry West who made the personnel decisions when Riley was with the Lakers. I wish their was a stronger voice in the Heat front office who Pat Riley would have to work with. That would keep him from making mistakes like overpaying Antoine Walker.

Riley appears to be nothing more than blowing smoke up our rear ends. All of a sudden when it appears Posey may leave Riley comes up with all of his supposed faults. I thought it was reported that the owner would pay the luxury tax for the right player? Wasn't Lewis the right player? He has gotten better every year he has been in the league. I hope they do not overpay for Steve Blake, he may not be able to even beat out Williams. The Heat better come up with something esp. since they raised tx prices.
