It makes you appreciate teams like the 90's Bulls who won 6 titles in 8 years to still have the hunger and consistency to come back year after year. Oh, and Bob if you don't like the Cubs there is a pretty good team on the South side that is not an embarrassment to Chicago! Go BULLS, Go Whitesox!

Hey before we start burying this team, take a couple of things into account. One the referees and the NBA changed the rules a couple of years ago and have made the inside power game of Shaq obsolete. They don't let him play the way he used to play when he was a Laker..It's incredible that the NBA has made a great player into a fossil. They really hate Pat Riley!
Two, Wade was injured and this team stopped playing when he came back, thinking that he would take care of the scoring...which he couldn't. When the Heat won 9 in a row, against good competion (including these same Bulls) they played together, they rellied on each other and that stopped. We do need a third option that's consistent and we also need an energetic and quick second team as a change of pace. Go Pat and Go Heat.

Time to change the roster and get younger. Payton, Williams and Walker all need to be released or traded.
Oh please...Walker was(aside from Posey) the LONE BRIGHT SPOT not named Wade/Shaq in this disgraceful first round disaster. If anyone needs to be released/Traded, it's UUUUUDONNISSSSSSS HAAAASSSLLEEEEM!!! He has regressed since shooting 55% in '05 and that's a fact. his jumper has become so inconsistent now that his value as a player has dropped. Heck, MIKKI MOORE OF THE NETS did more for his team than Haslem did this year in the postseason.

WALKER OUTPLAYED HASLEM IN EVERY STINKING WAY AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF READING HOW WALKER IS LUMPED INTO THOSE THAT "NEED TO GO" AND STUFF....IT'S STUPID.

The Heat absolutely lucked into those rings last year with the aid of the refs who wouldn't allow anyone to touch Wade. All of you pathetic so-called Miami fans can go cry somewhere because the Bulls beat you last year and now they are just humiliated you losers on a national stage. Even better...you will be horrible for years to come! Nice planning on Shaq's contract. I'm sure Wade's shoulder will be 100% soon. Kapono is your best player...have fun with that fact!!!!

WELL WHAT A SURPRISE!! THE NBA IS JUST A JOKE ANYWAYS. THEY DONT TRY UNTIL THE LAST QUARTER, THEY ALL GIVE THE SAME ANSWERS LIKE, "AHHHH, WELL, WE DIDN'T REALLY FOCUS TONIGHT, AND YOU KNOW, WE JUST NEED TO PICK IT UP A BIT NEXT TIME", AND SO ON. YES, AND ITS A SHAME YOU ONLY MAKE A FRIGGIN GAZILLION $$FOR YOUR SUB PAR, LACK OF HUSSTLE PLAYING. AND WE NEED TO WATCH THIS CRAP!!
START AWARDING A TEAM POINTS TO WHOEVER WINS THE QUARTER, AND POINTS FOR THE WINNING SCORE AS WELL, AND THEN WATCH THE GAME CHANGE
I love your idea about points for a quarter. Something like a tennis format. You get a climax at the end of each period and it means something.

I'd be mad as heck if I worked hard so I could pay for a ticket to watch a group of guys play, and then learn later that they didn't give 100 percent. They mailed it in.

In upcoming years look out for Dwyane Wade to become a cancer for a team. He now learned from shaq how to dog it for an entire season and still get paid the same. His light won't shine as brightly ever again as it did last year. The heat doesn't need another scorer. They need another ball on the court, one for Wade and one for the rest of the team.

I know this and I'm a FAN.

Old, fat, slow and can't make an effing freethrow to save his team in the playoffs. I just went outside and shot 100 freethrows and made 44 of them! Shaq is going to get $60 mil over the next three years?? Un-freaking-believeable.

I am a Heat fan and I can't believe how stupid most Heat fans are. How can Pat Riley go from being so brilliant to "he sucks" in one year? We can't win every year. Morons! We will be back. That guy who said the Heat lucked into the rings last year is such an idiot. Coming from a Bulls fan who probably watched Jordan get fouls when someone breathed on him or looked at him. Get a life! Zo for president.

That was total fraud they perpetrated on the fans all year long particularly on the season ticket holders who were asked to anti up and pay big prices for a professional team and it ended up being 1 player (later injured) and a bunch of other guys getting suspended for being fat, faking injury.

It was like a minor league team with a fat old guy who thinks he is cute by being an undercover cop wanna be.

If Nick Saban had those guys he would have quit sooner.

Good bye - The Bulls performed a mission of Mercy... it was a mercy killing!

Let's face this team bought into shaqs you dont have to play hard during the season crap. Yes there were injuries and wade was clearly not 100% but they clearly didnot bring it. I feel bad for Zo. He clearly goes out and prepares himself to play which is more than I can say about Shaq. He is becoming a drag on this team with his know it all attitude. You hope he doesn't become a bad influence on wade. By the way who ever said that Walker was a bright light has got to be crazy! He sucked the entire year!

Riley DOESNT Suck wrote:
Riley doesn't suck. In fact he's a great coach. However I am not all that enthralled about the style of play his teams gravitate to with his ALL veteran rosters....
I'd love to see some new blood in the front office and at coach for the Heat. Even if it means a few years of lottery picks
I agree that there needs to be changes at the head. My problem with Pat is that he sticks for some reason with old veterans and won't blend in up and coming stars. I would bet you that if Tony Parker had been on our team, he would not have seen any time until being either traded or let go. Then we would see what we see now except it would be with another team.
Case in point, who knew what Kapono could do? Only because of Pat's surgery and Ron using Kapono, do we see what has been on the bench. Pat would have never did that. Another case: we get Eddie Jones back and he leads us during a 9 game stretch of winning. Pat returns and Eddie doesn't even play the last game that we are swept in. Now you can't tell me that he's that bad when the original coach returns but he's good enough to kick but before under Ron.
Somebody help me if you think I got it wrong.
Also, we know how competitive D Wade is, but why was Pat putting it on his shoulders to win when his timing is off and shooting is off. Yet we have another scoring option who happens to be the top 3 point shooter/winner, but yet we are talking about letting him go for Posey? Please
