Looks like the Champ years are over. The Heat is way too thin and old to do anything big anymore.

I have to repeat and quote this again.

"Looks like the Champ years are over."

What Champ Years? We did win it the year b4 last but it was over THEN when they cut the cotton down off the hoop.

However I wouldn't put it past Riles to completely revamp and restructure this team which may be the only shot we have to get us back amongst the elite o' de NBA

Now Pat Riley is hot on Blake. En 2003 draft they passed Blake, Mo Williams, and Korver, etc ... and they chose..(What's was his name?... Beast-ly).
A disaster!

In 3 years, the 2007 draft will look the same stupid decision! The heat past in 3 PG! And took some cash and 2009, 2 round from IND., for the 39!

Kapono is a great shooter, but cannot defend a lick, or make his own shot, if he is covered, even slightly, he misses, and he cannot hit the big shot at the end of the game. Not that big of a loss, he hasn't showed me anything. I want to see more of Wayne Seimen, and Dorrel Wright.

Just like Rafer Alston, just like Damon Jones, just like Kenyon Dooling, they all bolt at more money and theyre all busts. Maybe if you did more than hit 3s, the Heat would want to keep you. Theres this thing called Defense, it's makes a difference!

Didn't Rafer Austin try this a while back, how did that work out. Oh, the money, I forgot.

I do not think this is a big loss, given JK's defensive limitations. I have always felt that Posey is more important. He is the type of player that helps you protect a lead in the 4th quarter with his defense and rebounding.

Panthers owners could learn from Mickey Arison...

they all bolted other teams to come here and they all bolt to leave for more money. Cant blame the player that does. Its a business and they are businessmen as much as players. Why even focus on it or sweat it. We should isntead applaud the players that take a pay cut or reasonable salary instead of chasing the money. I wish Dooling and Damion jones would have stayed but oh well... They always seem to play better with the Heat anyway and they know they had more fun here. Now is the Heat going after undrafted Zabian Dowdell or what?

Riley needs to work a deal with Posey because he is a much better defender than Kapono.
He is in the mold of Bowen.
Keep him BECAUSE HE SHUTS DOWN PEOPLE.

Kapono isn't a big loss- Steve Blake is pretty nice (considering the pg options in the free agency list)Gerald Wallace is my favorite FA on the list for Miami- He's a MONSTER!! Far better than Posey. R. Lewis is a BEAST as well-- but we still have Haslem...

Posey's alright but he is asking for too much money. The heat need to give that money to Gerald Wallace, because he has All-Star potential.

Kapono is no big loss...we MUST get Ron Artest! He's cheap, multi-dimensional, and not a bad guy - just one isolated incident and a real bad rap.
