Mayo's own comments say it all. A good thing for all parties.

You have to compare the two because Mayo is the star-in-the-making the Wolves foolishly gave up for a bunch of stiffs. It was easily the worst trade this franchise has made. I'm going to the game tonight and the only reason I'm going is so I can cheer on the 2008-09 NBA Rookie of the Year, O.J. Mayo. I was a Wolves fan my whole life, but this trade sent me over the edge. Good riddance to the T-Wolves. GO GRIZZLIES!!!!
trading cassel and a first for jaric,
trading for davis and blount and roy for foye are to me the worst trades so far.
not keeping mayo may be close though, esp if he turns out to be the next kobe.

The Wolves may not have gotten the best of this trade, but there's no denying that they got the best of the Heat in the Mario Chalmers for a conditional second round pick and some cash, right? Wait, nevermind...
not to mention having a heat first round picks and wanting them to be bad. heat did not have a pg, so why not give them one to make them better ?
yes, this just may be the dumbest trade wolves have made.

I agree with Shana. OJ mayo would have become the second coming of stephon marbury. He would have become a cancer. The timberwolves got rid of two big contracts (walker and jaric) while creating cap space to go after some big free agents this summer and next.
hardly any free agents substantial to go for after this season. artest may be the worthy, but...
this franchise is cursed

Laughable that the question is even asked. The answer is obvious.

It honestly matters not who is the better player right now. Mayo would be struggling with this horrible franchise almost as much as Love is, in my opinion. Plus, that would mean that Wittman would have had to use some of his unexisting wit and play mayo over foye and mccants. The Timberwolves have been a walking disaster since 2004, and, although I used to be a heavy supporter of them even after I moved away from Minnesota years ago, I can't bear to watch them struggle for years and years and years to come. They don't have the payroll to compete with other top teams, nobody wants to come play and live in Minneapolis, and the team is run by a bunch of monkeys. Sorry, but I followed KG and am now a Celtics fan until he retires. Good luck to all you T-wolves fans, because you will need it to make it through this mess with an ounce of sanity left.

As of right now Memphis got the best of that deal along with all the other teams that Minnesota has traded with. This is the owners way of firing Mchale softly. No way this Minnesota Timberwolves team got a chance of making the playoffs. It's a long season and they are Pro's so you should go on some kind of win streak. No team will go winless in the NBA.

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
