Or better yet why don't you and the rest of the apologists go to No Accountability Land and hold the people and companies you support to a higher level rather than making excuses for a group who obviously does not care about this community or you? If someone does not think like you they should stay away from these boards and posting how will you ever learn how foolish you are?
Grow some thicker skin TrailPacer fans, if your team was all that nobody would be knocking them. Fools.
How about its a new year bro, give em a chance why don't ya. I bet if they were undefeated you would love em...

TO ME AND EVERYBODY YOU TALK TOO THIS IS A BETTER TEAM W/O O'NEIL.
AT LEAST THEY DON'T RUN UP AND DOWN THE FLOOR AND PASS THE BALL TO THE LOW POST. HE EITHER TROWS IT AWAY, OR MISSES A 12 FOOT JUMP SHOT.

larry think about it!

it doesnt make sense to trade ONeil. What positions are going to be fortified by his departure? What kind of junk contracts would have to be taken? I think tis comforting to know we're a good team without him and maybe a great team with him
it doesnt make sense to keep him either! we would be better off, and have proven that w/out him. trade him for "less star power" and get guys who fit into the system. oneal doesnt fit into the system except for his own! they are NOT a great team with him. the are a way BETTER team WITHOUT him.

Did anyone in the front office notice that the Pacers won again with their superstar, Jermaine O'Neal sitting it out. O'Neal will never be part of the solution in Indianapolis. Trade him for a draft pick or two, if possible, and build a winner around the nucleus of young that is winning in Jermaine's absence.

What are they going to do when Tinsley and Daniels pull another stunt and end up with jail time?

They be ready, it's nothing more than a ticking time bomb.

I agree. His trade value certainly hasn't risen so far this year. Let him opt out after the season and we can have his cap money to do a lot of things with....No more bad contracts

You can't trade him for draft picks. In the NBA the trade must be equal in value and draft picks have no value

Pacer's are reporting JO will probably play Friday, I'm hoping he's 100%.
Another play we can throw out of the playbook on the defensive side is the big man popping out on the high screen. Harrison (& JO) get burned on this nearly everytime, just let the guard slide through if the he's not a valid 3pt threat. Foster is the only big man we've got that fast enough to recover.
Granger really needs to work on his defensive rotations and weak side help. He's a good defender one-on-one and shot blocker, but seems lost on switches and defensive rotations.
Much better on the fouls against Portland and I really like Tinsleys comment about he's finaly got a coaching staff that has confidence in him. His face up jumper over Blake in the last couple of minutes was huge and showed he's got kuhunas the size of church bells.

Yes, there is. The Pacers are 5-1 with O'neal sitting out, 3-3 when he plays less than 30 minutes, and 0-4 when he plays 30+ minutes.
No, it's not conclusive evidence, but if you pay attention you can see that he just slows up the rest of the offense.
Evidently my tagline and sarcasm escaped you. I'm referring to Donovan McNabb and how the Eagles play better without him even though he thinks he's "the man". Sorry, I'll try to keep it simple.

8-8? Is that what was predicted for this team?
Another win without JO in the lineup. Hmm....
Nice job by the team. They seem to be playing so well together...
If JO stays hurt, we keep winning. When he returns, back to losing. He changes the whole offense. I hope this is as obvious to Bird and Obrien as it is to me and all of us.

Never thought I would say this, but Tinsley is actually playing pretty well right now and looks like a totally different player compared to years past. I'd like to see him cut down on the to's a bit, but I think that's the price a Jim O'brien PG pays under his offensive style.

As far as JO goes, we still need him, but i'd like to see his shots down in the 8-10 range, instead of the 10-15 area. We need JO's defense and rebounding, not his 43% from the field.

JO is a good player but does not fit this system. If they can trade him for some losers with expiring contracts and put themselves in posision to sign some decent free agents next year, they should. 'Decent free agents' does not mean other team's castoffs and slow footed Eastern European players, Larry.

I figured your comment was likely a sarcastic one, but decided to make my point anyway. Sorry, I should pay attention to the poster's name next time.

They won ugly, except for that stretch in the third quarter when they took control of the game (and, then gave it up). They might have been a little tired from the win in Denver the night before. It's a good thing we weren't playing a really good team or we would have lost. But, a win is a win. We're up to .500! Keep it up, Pacers!

Why do people say this? Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t Shawne Williams oversleeping court dates after being arrested just three months ago? I thought three months ago was this year, I guess we have a different calendar now. Who knew?

My other question is why do people equate winning with morality? Just wondering?

It's not an issue of grammar, it's an issue of knowledge. If you don't know enough to even know how to spell his name after 7 years, I can't take any argument you make seriously. It's like someone running for president and continuously calling us the "United States of Americana"...

To all of the BIRD and PACER haters.....GO PACERS!!!
Obrien is makin Bird look very smart. He is bringing the best out of Tinsley. Birds draft picks are looking very very good in williams and granger. The off season pick ups in diener and rush are looking very good and even that trade with GS which only happened casue everyone wanted jackson gone which bird listened to the fans and traded him and then everyone complained about is lookin pretty good now. Dunleavy is really a huge part of this team and murphy should come offf the bench and be a double double guy and diogu when healthy is a younger but faster version of JO. Point is Obrien is a huge diff to this team and Bird is showing why the simon brothers have faith in him
